My fiance went to the interview by himself and got the approval after a few simple questions. Throughout the entire interview it felt more like a very casual, friendly conversation. We really appreciate that the interviewer put my fiance at ease since the very beginning with no intimidating vibe. Many light hearted jokes were also exchanged during the conversation. Some of the questions asked were as follows:
1. Where and when did you meet your fiance?
2. Where is she currently living?
3. Where does she work? What is she working as?
4. What is her (my) name?

Overall, very positive experience with no negative comments whatsoever. Interviewer was very respectful and enjoyable to converse with without giving you a hard time. Our relationship is as genuine as it can get and I'm sure people can tell.

Please do feel free to reach out to me anytime if you have any questions regarding the K1 process up to the interview. I will GLADLY a... read complete review

It was a very pleasant experience. I was pretty nervous still, I think it's a given.
The officers were very friendly but also efficient. Went in at 12.30 pm and left the embassy around 2 pm.
The questions asked are:

Where and when I met my husband?

Where are we planning on staying once we're there?

And then the CO showed a white paper and said we've been approved, and he looked so happy.
I did the javascript:emoticon('') happy dance all the way to the Gambir station.

The Jakarta embassy is super responsive to all of my emails. Maybe because there’s not so much IV applicants in Indonesia.
Interview date: July, 26th 2018
Arrive the exact time of your schedule. I was scheduled at 12:30 and the officers let me inside exactly that time. Arrive early and you will be waiting until the appointed time, in the roadside.
I’ll keep it short:
1) Medical results are being delivered to embassy now.
2) Prepare all documents. Keep this in mind. Prepare it all!
3) You can pay the visa fee by cash (IDR) in the embassy.
4) I was waiting almost an hour for my turn, my interview ended for about ten minutes.
If your relationship is real it shouldn’t be hard to answer all the question.
It was a refreshing experience...
Good luck for Indonesian/USC couples that still waiting~!!

My wife just had the interview in Jakarta on April 4, 2018 and we are thrillled that she passed very easily. I was able to accompany her which made her so much more confident. We prepped for hours beforehand, doing multiple mock interviews and practicing using our pictures and proof of my domicile. In the end, the interview was super easy, and lasted only about 5 mins. We were in and out of the embassy in Jakarta in about an hour (after waiting in line for 30 mins outside the embassy).

Questions Asked (Applicant):
1. What is your name and date/place of birth?
2. Have you ever lived outside of Indonesia?
3. What was the date of your wedding?
4. Where and when did you meet your husband?
5. How long did you date your husband before you were married?
6. Can you show me some pictures of the wedding?

Questions Asked (Petitioner):
1. Is your father the joint sponsor?
2. Did your family attend the wedding in... read complete review
