I reached by around 6.50 am at the Mumbai Consulate. It was raining crazy with no shelter to stand to escape the downpour. At 7 am they asked us to form a queue. I was second in line. They then let us in. We were asked to show our interview letter, DS 260 confirmation page (which was stamped during Biometrics) & our passports. After checking we were let in for Security Checks. Medical CD was not allowed. I had to give it back (it was already specified under the pre-interview checklist for Mumbai). After which we were let inside to get into another line. And then finally we were let inside. July & Rains are synonyms in Mumbai. We were asked to make 2 lines after we were let in. One for South Indians & the rest stay in the other. We were asked to confirm the language for interview. We were asked to arrange all our documents in an order – Birth Certificate & it’s copy, Marriage Certificate & it’s copy, PCCs & their copies, Medical reports, Passports. I arranged them a... read complete review

My husbands interview was scheduled for July 14th 8:30 am. He arrived there around 7:15.
Around 7:45 he was asked to get in the queue. The guards requested to see his passport and appointment letter. He explained to them that since our case was expedited we did not get an appointment letter and he only has an appointment confirmation that was emailed to him after we scheduled his interview online. They were okay with that and let him in without any issues. The immigrant visa applicants were separated from the non-immigrant visa applicants at this point. After his documents were checked and put in order by the staff he was asked to follow the red line and eventually was asked to be seated until his token number is called. He waited for about 35 minutes before his token number was called. An African American greeted him in Punjabi and asked him the following questions:
Who is calling you?
How did you meet?
Love marriage or arrange marriage?
Who arrang... read complete review

My interview was scheduled for July 11 (Tuesday) at 8:00 am. I reached the embassy by 7:00 am. I was asked to wait as the entry for 8:00 am interview will start at 7:30. At 7:30 they asked to form a queue...both Immigration and non immigration. There were 10- 11 people before me. Then they asked all the immigration visa applicants to step out of the existing queue and form another. The next queue looked too short and I was 2nd in the line. They asked me to show the interview letter and passport at the entrance. After the manual security check and the folders being scanned through I was asked to follow the red line on the floor and enter the big hall where further processing would be done. All the applicants were asked to sit in the specific area of the hall. Staff members came and asked me to handover the passport, appointment letter, 2 photos, DS260(the stamped one), birth + marriage certificate (original and one copy), original PCC (they took only one), sealed medical reports... read complete review

I talked to my wife and she said she had very good experience at her interview except that she had to wait almost two and half hour before her token number was called. They asked her the below questions:
1) Who is calling you?
2) Name of your husband?
3) What does your husband do for living?
4) Name of the company where your husband works?
5) Love marriage or arranged marriage?
6) Who arranged the marriage?
7) When did your husband visit you last?
They did not ask for photos, chats, tax return (they said since we already have your husband's 2016 return, we don't need anything). They kept her PCC, my pay slips (February to June), marriage certificate, her birth certificate ( not sure if it was original or a copy).
We couldn't get more beautiful gift than hearing "VISA IS APPROVED" on our first marriage anniversary. We THANK YOU each and everyone on this journey for making it easy. GOD BLESS YOU ALL... read complete review
