US Consulate Entry
Look for purple/pink shirt guy coming out of the US Consulate. As soon as you see him walking out, cross the road and head in his direction, but specifically head towards a pole where a security guard (along with the purple shirt) will tell people to form the line. This pole is on the footpath and to the right side of the embassy. We got there at 6:50am and the guy came out shortly after we arrived. So definitely get there around 6:45am.
US Consulate Token
After getting in the building, a line starts to form and US Consulate staff (all Indians) come by the line and help arrange everyone’s papers. Once everyone’s papers are arranged accordingly the line starts to move, and everyone goes to window 1, shows the NVC letter and receives a token. This is also the time to request Hindi/Punjabi/Telugu/Malyalam translator. Ours was P602, I am guessing P stands for Punjabi.
Next, after about an hour long wait our to... read complete review

My husband's interview was at 7:30 AM. He got there around 6:30 AM. They started to form a line around 7 AM to take people inside and my husband was one of the first ones in line. He was all done with the interview at 8:30 AM.
Before starting my husband requested to take the interview in Punjabi language so they provided a Punjabi interpreter.

Reached consulate at 6:40-45 . Too many ppl were already standing opp to it as the line starts to form at 7 . More and more people started to gather and by 7:00 am ,the guy from inside embassy in uniform of purple shirt came out announced to form a line . Eventually they called the people in
Anwere asked to present the passport and interview appointment letter and later started going thru the security for checking stuff. No smartwatch . No CD . If u bring CD they will take additional time opening it and all . Thankfully I wasn't carrying anything . Two lines are formed at security checkin. Similar setup to airport. Once thru security there is another line where you present the documents and are assigned a token number)) . Once your documents are verified and assigned a token number you wait for your number to be called for interview. This wait lasted about 0.5 hour for me . Handicapped and elders were given preference first and what it seemed like regional language pre... read complete review

I am the US Citizen petitioner writing this review. My fiance and I arrived at the consulate at about 6:45AM. There were a TON of people on the sidewalk of the Trident Hotel across the street from the consulate; they were non-immigrant visa applicants. There was a shorter line of people along the outside wall of the consulate (immigrant visa applicants, including K1). We were last to get in this line (even at 6:45am!) and last of the immigrant visa applicants to enter the consulate. I was allowed inside with my US passport because I was the petitioner. Yay!
After security check, we walked through a courtyard and then into the main building. After initial questioning by an Indian employee and document intake at window 1 on the far left, my fiance got a slip of paper with his token number and sat down with me in the chairs that face the interview windows. We waited for a while. It appeared that the American COs were doing interviews at windows 11-17, the ones on the far r... read complete review

I reached the embassy at 6:45am for 7:15am appointment.
After checking the appointment letter the guard let us in.
On reaching the hall, the attendants instructed us to take out our documents and get ready.
On reaching the hall, immediately I was called at one of the windows (I was issued the first token)
HERE there was a n Indian lady officer who greeted me and asked me to show all the documents (ds160, PCC, birth certificate, translators affidavit-original and a photocopy)
Then she started asking me questions;
*who is calling you
*what is your name
*have you ever been us
*have you ever applied for a visa and got denied
*what is your date of birth
These were simple questions, I answered all of them. Then she started to ask if my fiance has sent me any sponsoring documents, I confirmed if she is asking for the i-134. She said yes and then she started typing something on the computer and then s... read complete review
