My interview was Feb at the Mumbai embassy. Will call out key bits of my experience below in case it helps anyone applying.
MEDICAL: CHENNAI
I did my medical a month in advance in Chennai at Apollo. It took quite a bit of time so I would definitely not schedule anything before or after just as a precaution. (I had originally scheduled my VAC biometrics appointment in Chennai, but realized I wouldn’t make it on time and rescheduled). They will give you an appointment time of 8:00AM on the phone, but request them to change it to 9:45 or 10:00AM. Most doctors only come in around that time or later so you’ll just be waiting if you come too early. I finished my appointment at 1:00PM that day, and returned the next day at 4:30pm to pick up the sealed packet.
BIOMETRICS VAC: MUMBAI
I scheduled this two days before my consulate appt. Took 10-15 minutes. I took my required documents (passport, DS260, 2 passport size photos, NVC intervi... read complete review

My interview was on 1st feb at 7:30 am. Entered emabssy on 7:15. overall process was smooth. CO asked very simple and general questions related to wedding and relationship. Interview was of 6 to 7 mins. everything was good and CO officer was impressed from my answers and wedding and honeymoon pictures. At the end of the interview he said he can't approve my visa right now and handed me 221g because he can't find i864A of joint sponsor(household member) in his system even though we submitted at nvc stage and it all got accepted. I was shocked and told him that i have originals of everthing ie i864A, tax transcript and W2s of joint sponsor. He looked at them and said that I have to submit originals with my passport at one of there drop off location. which I submitted on same day and at mumbai. After 4 days of Administrative processing our visa was issued on 5th feb. They gave me 221g without any reason. I just want to say that take originals of everthing with you at the time of intervi... read complete review

Interview experience :
I reached at around 6 AM, all those who had the 7 15 appointment were let in by 7 AM, I met @k@s and went through security and was asked to wait in a queue. The assistance officers asked for NVC call letter which comes in packet 4 and the interview appointment letter, they arranged these documents in order :
Call letter
Appointment letter
Medical
PCC
Original birth certificate and copy
They stack all these papers in your passport and ask you to wait, then I was sent to a counter, (the biometrics counter) , an Indian officer asked my name and who is calling me to USA, my contact no., fiance's contact no. , She took the documents, arranged them, she also opened the sealed envelope and she explained the IBMRA pamphlet and my rights in US.
Then she got my file, gave me a token and I was asked to wait.
Interview is at the counter ( there are 50 other people who are... read complete review
