Procedures were similar to what everyone has already written . I was with my fiancé at the interview & the CO gave me permission to stay with him provided I don’t speak or answer any questions. He asked abt my income sources , why my fiancé opted for a translator when some of our chat messages are in English. He was pretty rude & very drilling. He asked to describe how we met but then wasn’t satisfied with the answers. He only asked a few questions from our common interview questions. Finally he handed him a 221g for additional info . I’m not happy with the experience , not bcoz we didn’t get approved on the spot but it felt like co was determined to deny it. I resubmitted all the documents they asked for ( was already submitted most of it with I129 application ) & got the request for passport in a week.

We originally had our interview date for 8th April. But after checking on the ustraveldocs religiously, we were able to get an interview date for 25th March at Consulate General Mumbai. We completed our medical at Max Delhi on 9th March and biometrics at OFC center of VFS Global at Shivaji Stadium Metro Station in Delhi.
Before leaving for Mumbai we got the DD made for the visa fees which was $325 converted into INR 24050 (according to ustraveldocs valid exchange rate) payable at Mumbai and drawn in favor of "US Consulate General, Mumbai". This is applicable if you are filing DCF and have skipped the NVC stage and have not paid the fee online.
We arrived in Mumbai on the 24th. There are a couple of good hotel options for people coming from other cities that are very nearby to the consulate. We chose the Trident Hotel, as it is the closest one and you can walk 2 minutes and reach the consulate. The consulate does not allow any kind of pho... read complete review

I had my visa interview on 7th Mar 2019. I was given 7:15 AM slot. I reached there one hour before, put my phone, jacket and extra stuff in my office situated nearby consulate.
There was a huge crowd (around 100 people) outside the consulate. Guards called for immigration visa applicants only. To my surprise, there were atleast 40-50 people for Immigrant Visa category as well. I was asked to show the NVC Interview email and passport outside, then the security checks.
Inside consulate, the support staff asked to me to take out originals and copies of Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, PCC and sealed Medical Report and then I waited in the queue (there were multiple queues on the language of interview bases).
After some 5 minutes of wait, I was sent to one of the counters where an Indian guy took the same sorted documents from me, gave me a token number and asked me to wait for the interview.
After another wait of half an hour, my token numbe... read complete review
