This was my fiancee's 4th visit to the New Delhi Embassy. The prior three I have written up comments for, and were related to submitting forms for the K-1 visa and picking up packets.
She arrived at the Embassy at 7:00 AM, and they let her in at 7:30 AM. There were a LOT of people there, even at 7:00 AM.
First they collected everyone's interview letters.
Then the called people by name to a counter.
At the counter, she spoke with an Indian Consular official who was very polite, nice, and friendly. He asked her a large number of questions, which she happily answered:
1. How is Parag related to you?
2. Have you been to the U.S.?
3. When exactly?
4. How long did you stay each time?
5. Did you ever overstay any visa?
6. Have you ever been refused a visa to the U.S.?
7. When?
8. For what reasons were you refused?
9. Do you have any relatives in the U.... read complete review

Hi! Finally I can finally breathe with ease!
I had my K1 visa interview at 9 am today-April 17. It was easy and not at all scary as some people felt for Delhi Consulate. I reached there by 8:40 am and was in the embassy by 8:45 am and was called at 9 am to submit my passpost and documents pending (the ones I hadnt submitted to VFS). Paid the $100 fees and was asked to wait. I was called for the interview at 10:35 am and was asked to take the oath. Asked few questions:
1. How we met?
2. Since when my fiance has been in US?
3. Do I have any relatives in US?
4. What does my fiance do for a living?
5. When did we get engaged?
The consular commented that i had travelled well...they don't try to intimidate you at all. All in all very good experience. Finally he Congratulated me and said that I would get the passport with the visa in a week's time by courier and that I was all set!

Easy and quick interview at the Mumbai Consulate for K-3 visa. We had submitted all paperwork to VFS. The only hitch was that the exchange rate had changed and we brought more money than required (Rs. 4400) for the interview fee. As it was a demand draft, we were told to go the nearest state bank and get a new draft (for Rs. 4200) and submit it to the VFS office.
We then picked up the passport with the visa a few days later from a local passport office as our residence was too remote for courier services.

Extremely easy and short interview. The person conducting the interview didn't even look at any of the supporting documents. Around 5 question were asked mainly about the spouse's profession and family. Visa were mailed after few days. Very easy and fast process.

So my fiancee has now been to the Delhi Embassy three times.
The first was to drop off Packet 3 related forms; and let the Embassy know that we have not received Packet 3.
The second was to drop off more Packet 3 related forms; and the Embassy surprised us with an Interview letter and Packet 4 (which turned out to be the wrong packet 4)
The third was to exchange Packet 4 to get the correct one. (We recieved the K-3 Packet 4, we needed the K-1 Packet 4, and the interview letter was correct, though.)
All three of the times she went there, she found the Embassy officials to be friendly and she had no issues. Yes, they made some small mistakes, but when we asked them about it, they corrected themselves and apologized.
As for my interaction with them, I have had no issues to them responsding to my e-mails by the next business day, provided that I reference the case number in the subject.
Overall, I ... read complete review
