My fiance had an interview scheduled for 9am. He didnt get in until about 1pm but they had a nice comfortable waiting room with food and drinks. The interview itself was only about 10 minutes long and Venyei was asked the following questions..
*How did you become a Christian? (strange, I know!)
*When did you meet your fiance?
*Why did your fiance come to Nagaland, India?
Then that was all and he said, "It is with pleasure that I issue this visa, you will receive it in the mail in 1 week. Dont forget to get married within 90 days of your arrival!"

hi,
I had reached the consulate , welll before time. around 45 mins. you have to stand in a queue which is adjacent to the consulate for the first morning interviews. We have to keep all the documents ready in a transparent bag. Its better men and women travel with no extra luggage or belts or any other material like mobiles, staplers, pins and other stuff which is prohibited in the Consulate. The things which are not allowed in the consulate are on thier website. Only people who have the interview are allowed inside the embassy. No relatives or friends allowed.
The Embassy is pretty organised, Instructions are crisp, fast, point to point and in three languages English, Gujarati, and Hindi..... Gujuarati instructions are there and language is used a lot in Consulate. English is crisp and fast.
Everything is well organised and its pretty comfortable if we are well prepared with our paper work and is all organised and in order.

I want to re-cap my fiancee's experience at the Chennai consulate.
Arrived at 8.30am.
Was allowed to enter the building at 8.45am.
At 9AM was called to present all the documents she was carrying and the person who went over the documents was a young Indian lady in her 20s.
She basically grilled my fiancee for a good 30 min.
she was asked the following questions
1.Why are you getting married? Does your parents know about it?
2.Why not pursue K-3 instead of K-1?
and this I think is almost getting personal.
3. She asked my fiancee if she was wearing the wedding chain(mangalasurthram)
and asked her to show the chain around the neckline.
4. How do your parents know each other?
She intently looked into the engagement album and pestered my fiancee with
several more questions.
Around 2.15 she was called to the counter for face to face inte... read complete review
