Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Hi Everyone,

I filed a CR-1 application. My wife was interviewed on February 25th, 2009. She got there early and waited in line with the rest of the people outside. At 7:30 AM the consulate asked for those who had an appointment letter to come up. My wife went inside and an Indian officer asked for her Police Clearance Certificates (PCC's) and the VFS receipt. The officer returned the VFS receipt back to my wife along with a token. Within a half an hour they took her fingerprints. Then she waited until 11:45 AM for the interview with the American officer. The interviewer asked if she wanted a translator...she did. My wife took an oath (to tell the truth). Then the (female) American officer asked the following questions:
1. How did you meet your husband?
2. Where did you go after the marriage?
3. When did your husband return to the US after your marriage?
4. Why did your husband only stay for two weeks after marriage?
5. How did you fall... read complete review

My fiance got approved!!! She arrived at VFS at 6:30am. The Stars and Stripes Lounge was closed at this time and she waited outside with a large group of people all having their interview that day. Finally at approximately 6:50am Stars & Stripes opened and she went inside to deposit her purse and mobile phone in a locker, because you are not allowed to take such items into the consulate. Then she got on the shuttle bus at 7:05am that took her directly to the Consulate at about 7:15am. She then went through a security checkpoint and then got inside the consulate at 7:20am. They gave her a small wooden block to hold onto which shows that you indeed passed through security. Do not lose this wooden block, because you return it to them when you exit the consulate. When she got inside she was directed to a counter where she gave her fingerprints, they also collected her original appointment letter here. After this she was told to wait in the Immigrant Visa section. She was sitting t... read complete review

Review Topic: K3 Visa

I am a little late in writing this. I had my k3 interview at mumbai on 10th feb 2009. my husband had flown down for my interview. We reached the consulate at 6:45 am. They took me in at 7:30 am. My husband (US citizen )was not allowed in. I had my fingerprints taken and then we were called to the counters where the Indian officer gave me back my original marriage and birth certificate. They retained the copies and the original pcc. Then I had to wait till 10 am for my interview with the American officer. She was polite and asked me few questions
How did you meet?
What does he do?
How long has he been staying there?
Where did he study?
Who all are there in his family?
What does his brother do?

Then she said the long awaited golden words VISA APPROVED and it will be couriered to you. I wanted to collect it at vfs. So she said that I could try but they do not guarantee same day delivery of visa

Now this is a differen... read complete review

THEY REALLY GRILLED MY FIANCE.
THEY WANTED TO HEAR FROM MY FIANCE THAT WE ARE MARRIED, WHICH WE ARE NOT.
QUESTION SUCH AS:
WHAT UR FIANCEE NAME?
FIANCEE PARENTS NAME?
WHAT DOES SHE DO?
FIANCEE PARENTS?
BIRTHDATE?
WEDDING PLAN?
THEY EVEN TOLD HIM IF YOU SAY THAT YOU ARE MARRIED WE WILL GIVE YOU VISA.
MY FIANCE SAID NO WE ARE NOT MARRIED.

AT THE END SAID UR VISA IS APPROVED.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I am going through something similar...
... for me noone is telling me anything... ok so here is my case i got married in Jan 2007 and filed for my I 130 in April 2007 ( i should not have waited 3 mo to file but i thought it would be better ) and I filed I 130 spousal visa CR-1
.... ok so finally my petition is approved from USCIS and NVC by May 2008 and they sent over the case to Bombay (wrong consulate) they reschedule our interview at the right consulate, Delhi. My husband went for his interview in July 2008, after the interview they gave him a 221g AP for more proof such as a family tree, addresses and phone numbers of all relatives, guest list, emails, phone records, voters card ok so we sent them everything to the VFS office with his passport. They sent back his passport with no visa. They said its in Administrative Processing....

its been 7 months and still no word. I went to my Congressmans office and they gave me the same response. I call DOS and ... read complete review
