My fiance arrived early as usual, an was called to interview at 4:30pm, last person. The consular was not so harsh, but at the same time my fiance was corporative with her as well. She exmained all the docs, and questioned him. Over all experience was ok, however, in writing to the consulate we did experience that they were very vague. I would be helpful if the consulate can give a bit more answers to clarify.

Interview was quick, about 15 min. None of the proof of relationship documents were checked, including wedding pictures. Was only ask three to four questions.
1) What does your husbad do?
2) When did you first meet him?
3) How many girls he dated? How many guys did you date?
4) How do you now this is the right person for you?
Had to get a new bank draft since one that we had was for few extra Rs. And they said they can't take more money for us and can't give us money back in cash. Sone had to run to get new bank draft.

Here is our experience for our IR1/IR2 Visa Interview:
Our interview was on June 2nd at 9:00 AM. We arrived at the Consulate in Chennai on Anna Salai at 8:30 AM and went through the basic security check. We were told to go to another building for Immigrant Visa Interviews.
As soon as we got in a Lady called us up to counter number 8 and collected the Medical Reports and Visa Photos for my Wife and Kid and also had us make a few corrections on the DS-230 Forms.
After about an hour and fifteen minutes at 9:45 AM a lady called us up to Counter 10 and asked for our Address and Phone Numbers so that when the Passports are couriered they would be sent there. She said since I had my 2 year old son with me she would call us up next for the interview with the Consulate Office.
At 10:10 we were called up to Counter 9 for our Interview. The Officer asked my wife if she understood english and could speak it. My Wife replied with a yes!!! ... read complete review

FYI, Here are the questions that my fiancee was asked:
Where does he live?
What part of the city?
How often do you chat?
When did you last speak to him?
What does he do there?
What do you currently do?
Have you ever been to the U.S.?
Is this your first marriage?
Is this his first marriage?
How did you meet each other?
If you got engaged here, then why are you getting married there?
It's 11 AM here right now. What time is it there?
What type of degree do you have?
What subject is your degree in?
Your Visa is approved. Congratulations.
Hope this helps.
