They basically interrogated my fiance for an hour and accused him of lying about our relationship though he was telling the truth. The officer instead lied about having proof of his sisters phone records which they didn't have. They went as far as to question why we had stayed in the same hotel room which is none of their business. We provided them with pictures, the last 8 months of phone logs, greeting cards and my statement and they asked for more proof and when we submitted that they put our case into AP. They were told many times that my parents did not approve of our engagement and did not know that we were engaged so they went on to look up my parents home phone number and call them at almost 4 o'clock in the morning which is as unprofessional as it gets. Once my parents found out they completely supported us and we were finally taken off AP but its not the embassy's job to play everyones parents, a 25 year old adult should be able to marry who they please.

The beginning of the process was same as others (fingerprints, waiting, paying).
At he Interview window:
He was an Indian guy...and questions he asked were:
To petitioner: 1. how did we meet?
2. how many brothers and sister my fiance has?
3.is my fiance's brother married?
4. what is my fiance's brother's wife name?
5. why i haven't met my fiance's parents yet?
To beneficiary: 1. when was the first time we met in person?
2. how many brothers and sister the fiance has? how old are they?
3.why do you want to get married in USA?
4. how is your parents are going to attend the wedding?
The only question he asked us over and over about that why our parents haven't met yet? (this was the big deal he made about, for 5 to 10 minutes he said that there is no way you guys can mar... read complete review

We arrived at the embassy around 7:15 and they let us in at about 7:45. We were given a number and told to wait until the number was called. Several times we were called to the window to organize documents prior to the actual interview. I was allowed to join Jai at the window where documents were collected/organized prior to the interview, but not allowed to the interview window.
We were unable to submit packet 4 seven days prior to the interview as Jai arrived at VFS to submit in on the last day, waited for hours, and they closed for the day before calling his number. So when we were called to the window we tried to give them packet 4, but they did not take it. Instead they went through it and pulled out only the birth certificate, police report, 2011 taxes, and my employer letter. We had spent an additional 6 months together subsequent to our initial filing of K1 (after 3 months together), and had photo documentation, my passport stamps, etc., but they didn't t... read complete review

Interview was fast and smooth. The officer asked general questions like when did we meet, what kind of work I do and where I work, nothing too complicated. The whole thing lasted not more than 5 mins and she said that I have been approved and will receive my visa in a week.

I am the petitioner, and I went with my fiancé for his interview, which was scheduled for 8:15 a.m. We arrived outside the embassy around 7 a.m., which was probably too early, but we didn't regret it because there was never a moment when we felt crunched or nervous about time. We were allowed in around 7:45.
What happened next was pretty basic, so I'm not going to go into much detail. Basically, we went where we were told to go whenever we were directed to do so (our token number was called, or staff pointed us in a certain direction), and in this manner, we entered the embassy, my fiancé gave his fingerprints, and we were eventually called to a window to submit documents. The correct demand draft amount was INR 13,920.
Most of our documents were in order, but based on the experience, I have some advice to offer future Delhi Embassy interviewees:
1. Birth certificate: I was SUPER nervous because my fiancé does not have a birth certificate, and... read complete review
