Iterview day was great.
wife got to the embassy around 6am. They formed two lined at 7am (immi/ non immi).
My wife was in first 10 however, they asked for cellphone not allowed and people went on the side so my wife became 3rd on the line.
after regular security check she went to window where they collected her pcc and medical, also returned original docs to her. now she waited for interview with token.
when called for interview they asked
who is calling you to U.S. ans: husband
asked for pics.
as lookin at pics.
when was marriage?
how many people were invited?
any place you guys went afterwards? ans: yaa, goa
I like your pics.
how much time after marriage were you both together? ans: 10 days
when was last time you saw your husband? ans: on the last day of his flight, date
ok you are getting visa, thank you.

My fiance has an interview on 10/05/12 and he stood in queue from 5:30 am in the morning and enter into the embassy around 7 am and now VFS office is also inside of the embassy where he has given all the necessary documents and when there was a time to pay for visa fee my fiance has a cash to pay for it and they said they can't accept CASH so he was told either he can go out to embassy and get DD or he can take other appointment for an interview. my fiance went out to the bank and got DD and submit the visa fee. TO BE HONEST I WANST AWARE OF THAT AND THIS IS REALLY GOOD FOR FOLLOW VJ MEMBERS WHO WILL PASS THRU THIS PROCESS. GET THE DD NOT CASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
because of this delay his token # was called around 10:55 am for the final interview.

Our overall experience was exceptional. My fiance was under the weather that day and we were worried that we might have to reschedule, but the entire staff was very courteous and helped us beyond what I had expected.
We reached the embassy an hour before the interview; our interview was for 8:15 am . As expected it was like a fair in front of the embassy. No queues whatsoever, people who were scheduled for later interviews were also standing in the line. My Fiance and I both reviewed our paper work while we waited for time slot. Luckily it was overcast and had drizzled so the temperature was tolerable. Don't expect any sitting arrangements or amenities such water or washrooms outside the embassy. You would have to wait until you reach inside the embassy if you have to relive yourself! Although you can buy water outside but its best to bring your own water if you can.

MANDY'S POINT OF VIEW:
Firstly, my hubby got approved! So...javascript:emoticon(' ')!!!
Let's begin at the beginning...
My husband was a part of the "new" VFS process at the Embassy. His Interview was for 7:30 a.m. on September 28th 2012 and because of this we arrived at 6:45 via our personal cab/driver (we had come up from Pune the night before and so rented RadioWings for both days).
There were a ton of people already there and waiting on the curb opposite to the VFS Office behind the Embassy Building. When the VFS Officers finally came out it was 7:00 a.m.
We were expecting them to form two lines, Immigration and Non Immigration, and that the Immigrant line would be shorter. No such luck on that day, the Immigration line was HUGE and my hubby was #22 in a line that went out twice as long behind him. The Non-Immigrant line was formed later due to this and it was much shorter.
