We were, I think, not approved due to our age difference and my previous marriages. Officially it is a 221-G for recent evidence of relationship. So I would say it was a sad experience. My fiance' could barely speak to me, after 6 hours of sitting in a room at the consulate, being interviewed and waiting. He said many different officers came in and out, some nice, some shouting. At first a one said OK, so he thought it would get approved, then others came in and out. That is when they inferred it was just drama, no one could love one another as we say we do, because I am too old etc. They said one of us must have paid the other one to do this, they did not care that we have known one another for 3 years now; made no difference. Although last CO wasn't saying he would not get the Visa, she also did not say he would. They kept everything, new emails, cards, etc, but not the passport. Hope we get another shot at it!

My fiancés interview was not long at all in Mumbai. There was a ton of people at the embassy that day and each person only took minutes to be interviewed he said.

The lady asked him 4 questions:
1. How does your family feel about this?
2. How does her family feel about this?
3. How did you meet?
4. Why would a well-educated man as yourself choose to be with someone like her? (because I’m not college educated)

When he was don’t answering the questions she looked at the computer said you are approved I just want to see the police report from the UK.
2 weeks later we got the police report from the UK submitted it at the VFS office and was told his visa would be ready in 4 to 5 days. 3 weeks later we get a call from the Embassy stating they want to see a police report from India because there was nothing on the police report from the UK. They would send us another 221g form in 1 weeks’ time and we just needed to go ... read complete review

Worst experience ever

Fiancé arrived at embassy around 6am. Waited in line until 7:30. She was one of the first people in line. She was called for interview pretty quickly after. She was asked just general questions. What is ur fiancé name? Job? How we met? About our engagement?
Then she was questioned more detailed our about our engagement and relationship. She was questioned like for 3-4 hours straight by close to 7 different consulate employees. They were saying we got married some time between our engagement and the interview date. They had no proof of anything. They were saying my fiancé was lying. She is not.
They gave her a white form asking for copies of my passport to prove that I didn't go to India and get married. They really tired to make her change her mind. This is what we get for doing everything the right way. I was angry hearing some of those things. They even questioned her faith/ religion. They were saying that she should not lie co... read complete review

Ok this was kinda weird.
I took a taxi from my hotel in Andheri East to Consulate at 6:30am, it was 7am when i reached

there. there was a huge line outside, but they were all non-immigrants so i was let in . there

were already 20 people inside. so i got a number and sat down , after waiting 30 mins my number

and name was called.

i went to first window with a Indian guy who asked me for my passport and birth certificate?
i handed him my passport and birth cert. (my birthcert didnt have my name as is very common in

India) So he asked me where my affidavit is.

I asked him "what affidavit ?" to which he replied "affidavit to support your incomplete birth

certificate"

I told him "i submitted my school certificate to NVC as a secondary evidence as told by US

Consulate Mumbai website"

The Indian guy told me that i still nee... read complete review
