Hi, I joined my wife for her CR-1 interview in December of last year. I was under the impression of the officers to be kind due to the holidays season but somewhat it was. First we both were interviewed by an american gentleman he asked me couple questions then he asked my wife if this marriage is love or arranged and when we got married. He did not ask for any proof of pictures and simply told us that he got some dest work to do then we will call you back (could been alot better if he has said I have some dirty work and will have an indian officer to degrade you).
We waited on those comfortable chairs for hours and then we were called on counter #8. That counter has walls and door so the officers can interrogate you, insult you to get the truth out. First they called me in for questions and I walked proudly thinking 'I am American' but they made me feel does not matter who you are we want you to tell the truth and get the visa faster. This is the first time I felt myself sec... read complete review

My fiance accompanied me to the interview. We got to the embassy early, but it wasn't necessary as they only let you in half hour before your interview time. We deposited our cellphone at the counter, went through security, got fingerprinted, and waited for our token number to be called. It seemed like they started the immigrant visa interviews at around 1015. We also had to go to a counter to give our forms, passport, birth certificate, payment receipt, police clearance. We had our interview around 1115. It was short, they just asked us, how we met? When we met? If it was arranged? Why we are going to fiance visa route instead of spouse visa routes? And what are our wedding plans. That was it.
I was a bit confused as to where to go at times but it was fine because there was always someone from the staff around to ask questions and they were very helpful.

I had my visa interview in Mumbai on March 7th. Around 7:45 a.m., the VFS personnels started allowing the applicants inside the embassy. I was one in the few to enter the premises as the first batch and was unfortunate enough to get out of there as a last applicant. Once inside, you will follow through a line where you will be given a token and then VFS personnels will keep reminding you to keep your PCC, medical, birth certificate/affidavit and copies of the same with your passport handy. Around 8:30, my token number popped on the screen and was called for my initial round with an Indian officer, a female, she turned to be really good and we kept our smiles on. I was asked to submit all the documents like PCC, 2012 tax returns, employer letter, birth certificate, bank draft, and at last she took my finger prints. She just had one question for me during this document submission course and it was that "Have you ever traveled to US or stayed in other country for more than a year?" and... read complete review

Hi Guys
So my K1 visa was approved on 13 feb 2013 at the new delhi consulate and i want to write a review of my experience.
As per the new process i never recieved any packet 3 or 4. My NOA2 was approved way back in Dec 6,2012 but somehow my interview was not scheduled. On 1 Feb i checked on the Feb appointments and i found my case scheduled for an interview on 13 Feb. So i asked the ustraveldocs people to send my appointment letter for the interview so i can go for the medicals.
So i went to the US consulate in new delhi on 13 feb 2013 at 725 in the morning. They asked people to wait outside the consulate and allowed entry only 30 mins before the interview time. I entered the embassy at 8 am and after security checks i was issued a token. I went in and was seated in front of the counters. There are a lot of counters for other non immigrants visas but only 2 for immigrants visas so its a lot slower process. I got my biometrics done after a while and then wa... read complete review
