My wife and I had our interview at the US Embassy in Tegucigalpa Honduras. It was pretty much as described by Angela above. We were the first ones in at 7:30AM and the last ones to be seen at 1PM. We were called around 10AM to one of the four windows to review our docs and then told to wait to be called for the actual interview. I was really nervous by then, but the long wait kinda made me feel at home (meaning that after sitting there for hours and seeing everyone go ahead of us, it gave me a familiarity of the process). The interview itself was not even five minutes. Our relationship was not questioned. The embassy interviewer was very nice and made every effort to make us feel ok. He commented on our pictures and gave them back. We had more questions for him than he had for us. Because I had entered the country (US)illegally, I had to submit a 601 waiver, we did this immediately there and submitted necessary forms (we were prepared for this). I had to do an extra step because... read complete review

It was on april 17th 2008, There were protests around Tegucigalpa. I was worry maybe it will be hard for me to reach to embassy on time. Thank God i arrived 1/2 hour before The guards at the embassy let me in. There were around 20 people for inmigrant visa. The guard checked my name on the list. Then we were checked and my belongings through x-ray machine. My Fiance couldnt come with me, so i was more nervous. I arrived to the visa inmigrant section and we sit and wait until the precheck windows will call us.I was the third one they called, the lady asked me for all the documents i had (forms, proof of relationship, financial support). I gave her everything I had. Then she pre-interviewed me and wrote down all my answers on a paper. Questions like: how we met? how many times my fiance visited me? If i went to visit him? also about my previous J-1 visa? If i had problems with the police in my staying in US? because i studied in Mexico, she asked me also, What I studied there?, What kind... read complete review

We arrived at 6:15 thinking we would be the first in line. . . we were wrong, there were a ton of tourist visas and some permanent visa people waiting already. We were separated, the top line was tourist visas and the bottom line was the permanent visas. They started taking tourist visas in through security and halfway through they called us up and checked us off of a list. We then realized that we were next-to-last on the list.
We were hoping that being there in line first that we would be first for pre-interview but we were called in the exact order of the list.
We were the only K1 visa scheduled for that day. And, in fact, there was only about 9 permanent visas scheduled for that day so we were done by 1130.
Okay here are the specifics that I remember:
You are seated in the front row of chairs the windows are numbered 1-5 (the first 4 are for pre-interview and the last is the consulate)
When we were called up... read complete review

We got one email and two letters in the mail that said our interview was 02-JAN-2008 at 08:30 so we arrived on Jan 2nd at around 7:30 and waited.
Come about 10:30am all the windows were closed and everyone else who was waiting had finished, we started wondering what was up. Asked one of the guards and they said that these interviews happen at 7:30am not 8:30.
I went to the counslar window in another area of the embassy and explained the situation. She went and talked to the people in the visa section and vola. We walked right up, did our thing. Handed all the papers they asked for, this took maybe 10 or 15 minutes to get done. Then we went and paid for the visa apps 2x$355 and I also had to pay for the I-864's 2x$45 once that was done I handed her the reciepts and she said have a seat and they would call us in to the interview room. Before we could even sit down they called us
The interview was done in a room all by ourself... read complete review
