05/06/2012 My husband left the house really early in order for him to make it in time for his 7:00 appointment. He went to various check points and a long wait (almost 4 hours) before the actual interview. He told me that up to that point everybody who went before him was being either denied or asked to bring in more documents. The questions he was asked:
How we met?
Where does your wife work?
How many times have we each been married?
How long have we been married for?
How old is our child?
How often do we see each other?
When was the last time we saw each other? Even though I didn't accompany him to the embassy, I had learned a tip from a previous poster who suggested that one takes the US passports in. So I had given my passport and my daughter's to my husband and he took it in. According to my hubby that made a big impression on the officer. After that they pretty much chit-chatted for a few more minutes and the whole thing was over.... read complete review

Before I start, I will say that many, many people were not issued a visa today because they weren't prepared. They didn't have all the documents they needed and were told they needed to come back when they had the correct documents. I am so thankful for this website which helped me so much through this process. And now for the good stuff...
We got to the embassy at about 6:10 (not on purpose! haha! there wasn't much traffic so we arrived VERY quickly). There were already about 25 or 30 people in line. At 7:00, they began letting people in. We went through several "checkpoints" to get into the building. Before you go in the building, there is a stopping point and you must leave all electronics there. You can't enter with phones, cameras, laptops, etc. You have to pay $2 (although, I heard it was $5...we paid $5 and never got change back) to leave your items and they give you a ticket/number to pick it up when you come back out.
After we got throu... read complete review

We arrived at the Embassy around 630am on 4/16/12. We stood in line for what felt like eternity. No cell phones or lotions are allowed into the embassy. My husband had to pay $1 for someone to hold our phones and other misc. items in a box outside. It wasn't very secure so I highly suggest leaving those types of items behind. We finally go in only to be told to wait. After nearly an hour my husband was called to the back to be interviewed. About 45 mins later I was called back. My husband stayed in the room, but he wasn't allowed to talk to me. I was asked how we met, when we met, where we got married, where we stayed the night before we married, if there was a reception, who attended the wedding, the location of our honeymoon, who purchased rings & my husband's ring size. My husband later told me that he was asked questions about the first time we had sex and if we used protection. For whatever reason I wasn't asked sex questions. We were then sent back to the waiting room. After ano... read complete review

Fiance interview was scheduled 4/17/2012 at 7 am. He got their early and got in the line. He had a male CO who asked him the following questions:
Who is filing for you?
How did you and your fiancee meet?
Where do you all go when she is in Haiti?
Where does she work?
Do she have children?
Boy or Girl?
How do you all communicate?
CO said visa approved and go pay his 10 dollars to Haiti Messenger and on 4/25 Visa will be ready for pick up. Epidatsit!
