As told to me by my husband. His interview was on 19Aug2015: He went through the usual check-in process and was finally called to a window. The consulate officer(CO)asked several questions like;
How did you meet your spouse?
How did you propose?
Where does your spouse work? What does she do? How long has she been at that job?
Does she own her own home?
How do you communicate?
Do you know her family?
Who were you dating before her? When did you break up with your previous girlfriend? How long after did you meet your spouse?
Does you spouse get along with your children?
The CO requested to see our album, asked about the people in the photos, was very interested in the pics of me and my step kids. The CO stated we "look like a real family". Told my husband he can come back next Wed for the Visa.
Additionally: So my husband was told to return the following Wednesday after his interview to pick up his vis... read complete review

My interview was schedule for 8am but we did not get call until around 9am which was ok. My fiance and I were interviewed by a wonderful person who ask us a few questions about our relationship. Why we seperated the first time? How did we re-connect? Who found who first? About our wedding plans etc. She asked for no proof of relationship I guess because I had sent a few in when I filed and there was proof that he and I were young adult sweet hearts also. All together for documents they only asked for my 2014 tax returns and the affidavit of support.

Wife was told to come back with me just to prove or marriage was not fraudulent all because I was a born American citizen despite the fact my father is Guyanese. Came down the end of February and was interviewed for over an hour, only asked my wife 4 questions at the end. The lady was Guyanese stern but nice and looked like she worked for the embassy for years. We were told to leave our marriage album and would hear something in two weeks. Went back home very sad but they did get back to us after the two weeks that we were approved. Visa was already there from the first interview and would expire in 6 months so had rush to get things in order for traveling before the visa expired.

I've heard horror stories but thank God we did not experience such.
Long wait but other than that, no bad comments.

Interview was 05/28/14 @7:30am. We got there about 7:20am, there was about 80 people waiting online. There was two lines, one with about 15 people and one line with a lot of people. We asked the security lady where to go, because we have a 7:30 interview, she told us stand on the short line. (Am guessing the short line was for people with visa interview’s and the long line was for people going for tourist visa etc.) A few minutes later a lady came out and called a few people at a time and checked their passport’s and looked at their interview letter. We were then let into the building, the security lady told me to take everything from my wife, her bags etc.. (They have lockers to put cellphones in, but the lest stuff you take the better for you. No liquid’s, lotion’s etc., leave all that stuff home. We took nothing except interview stuff & passports) My wife went thru the metal detectors first, then I had to put everything down in a box for the machine to scan it, I went thru t... read complete review
