I will not write a long review at this time, the only thing I will say is that when you go to your interview, bring an AOS that is 100% updated, meaning all current info with a new signature and date. I had sent in my AOS about a year prior to the interview. I sent my husband with a mere copy of that AOS, but it was not accepted because it did not reflect our current situation. My husband was given a 221(g) and we submitted the updated documents that same day via Cargo Expreso. Also, bring your most recent tax return and original W-2's with copies!
My husband entered EWI and he was approved for an I-601a waiver. Most of our income is from him. Just showing our last tax return was not enough, since he has been here illegally. So, we also had to submit a letter from his current employer that he would still have his job when he returns, and also stating how much he makes (in his case per hour and the amount of hours he works per week). Finally, I submitted an I-864a for goo... read complete review

No issues. My fiancé was attended quickly on the day of her interview. She was instructed to come on the following business day (Monday) to pick up her passport with the visa sticker, however, it was delayed an extra day. She obtained it on Tuesday. javascript:emoticon('')

Things are done a little differently now in Guatemala. Even though the website has you select a courier method for Visa delivery, we had our interview at the window. I was with my foreign partner. The man who interviewed us was extremely nice (and gay, himself). We heard him being a little harsh with a woman prior to us being called, but she had been there for the third time and still didn't bring some papers he specifically told her to bring. He flipped through the paperwork, asked my partner some very simple questions and approved us. There was no trickery to the questions and no attempt on the embassy part to want to decline us. We had just a handful of photos, but from my first visit in 2009, then 2010, and 2013. He also had copies of credit cards for both of us (as I added him as an authorized user to about 6 of my cards) way back since 2008 as well as each renewal time. It showed longevity and sincerity. He kept my partner's passport and gave him a ticket with instructions to ret... read complete review

I'll try not to repeat what's already been written here… we found it useful during our interview experience today. Getting there early paid off… we had a 7:15am appointment and arrived about an hour early. In the IMMIGRANT visa area there are some concrete benches… try to get a spot toward the front and be on the lookout as the officials begin to gather out front. Thats your cue that things are about to get going. At this point you'll want to jockey for position in the line that forms along the concrete/brick wall in the immigrant visa waiting area. They hand out numbers and we were lucky enough to get #7. At this point they check your appointment confirmation letter and passports. There was no problem with me entering with my fiance… we simply asked and they waved us through to the security check area. This is an area similar to security at the airport… you and your bags go through the metal detectors/x-rays. They DO NOT allow any electronics of any kind. We saw lo... read complete review

My interview was at 7:15am at the suggestion of a lot of the other members I got there early at 6:05. At that point you stand in line along with all the other people in the RESIDENCE line and the migration line. You stand in line and the first paperwork they ask you to show is your passport and the appointment confirmation and if you have your medical exam. They give you a little number (I got no. 10) and a little page for you to fill with your name, phone number, email in case they want to contact you. The sooner you get there the faster you will go once you're inside. Once they check you they let you go into the waiting room. When they call your number they ask for all the paperwork that came in the instructions (Partida de nacimiento, antecedantes penales y policiacos, examen medico, ds-160, supplement for k-1, affidavit of support, w2'a and 1040's, etc) I (the beneficiary had everything in order and at hand) handed them in and she briefly asked how I met my fiance, she made a littl... read complete review
