Visa was not granted at the first interview because my co-sponsor (my parents) did not have sufficient proof of income. I then asked my aunt to be my co-sponsor, she filled out the I-134, sent it to me along with her 1040s and W2s, and we were granted the visa with no delay. Vice-consul was polite.

The counselor officers are very polite. When my husband had his first interview, I was present and the lady counselor was very generous and gave us positive feedback. Overall experience was great. The only problem that we had was that they told my husband to go the following day in order to pick up his visa, which he did and the counselor office told him that he needed another interview. WHY? Don't know. Another CO called him and told him to pick it up on 02-07-08 @ 12:00 p.m., but no 2nd interview was given.
Now he has hi VISA HURRRRAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!!

My fiance's visit to the embassy overall went very well. She said there were A LOT of people there and everything is done in a mass production kind of way shuffling from window to window. She said they reviewed the papers very closely. The CO who interviewed her asked her quite a few specific questions as to where I was born, what is my full name, what did I do for a living, how long have you known each other, have you met his parents etc... She wasn't given her visa at the interview, because in Guatemala they are asking for new copies of birth certificates. She had her original, but they didn't accept that, so she had to go back to her municipality and get a new copy and then had to go back the embassy to show it to them.
