My fiance had a very short interview at the Ghana embassy where he was told our relationship was fake(only asked my name, occupation and address) as well as his divorce paper wasn’t the original. He went and paid money at the court to have an affidavit of divorce because it was a dowry marriage. Funny how his pre-screening interview approved paperwork but declined at the interview. Why have a pre-screening if 2nd person doesn’t agree with approved documents from pre-screening person? The consular was more concerned of knowing a hotel name he stayed in Togo during business travel. He was denied his visa despite me being in Ghana 3 times, have bought land in Ghana to build our house after marriage in the US, and had numerous picture/calls of our relationship. So heart-wrenching to know that 1 consular can flip your whole life upside down after waiting almost 2 years to be together. So UNFAIR!!!

"Since the National Visa Center (NVC) forwarded my case to the US Embassy in Ghana, I hadn't received any updates until I sent them an email. They then directed me to update my profile, which I did. I also completed the DS-160 form and paid the MRV fee. "

My fiance says that his interview took a while. Due to the council officer getting interrupted a few times. States that she did ask a lot of questions and took longer than the other appointments. Name and date of birth, who petitioned for you? How many times have you met a person? How do you your parents feel about marry someone you only met once? How do you and your fiance communicate? What do you talk about? Have you lived in any other countries more than 6 months? (My fiance didn't have his public certificate for Cuba, but he printed out the email showing where the embassy stated that the channels were down). What did you study in Cuba? Do you have any acquaintances there? What does your fiance do for work? His medicals weren't ready, but they said once they receive the medicals his visa would be issued.
Beyoncé says everyone around the facility was very helpful with giving information on what you will need before going inside.
