I am the USC, and I did not personally attend the interviews. My husband's first interview was Oct 08; he brought in all of his documents and they were received by a Ghanaian lady who kept pictures, phone records, and some other pieces of evidence, then gave the binder back to my husband. She then called him to a desk where a consular officer was sitting already looking through his documents. He was greeted by a stern, Asian male, who was cold and asked questions related to when we met, how long we knew one another before married, how many times i visited him, then told him that he didn't believe that I had visited that many times. He sent my husband away for Administrative processing, marked a document requesting he provide my passport stamps to verify the number of times I visited him before and after our marriage. He also asked for additional phone records (even though we had several months from both countries for periods before and after our marriage), and other evidence of our... read complete review

These American Embassy people are so crazy. I thought they were going to do a proctoscopy on my fiancee!. Every small detail for them was like a National Emergency! It took over 5 weeks from the interview approval and the intervention of a US Senator's office for them to hand my fiancee the visa for which she was entitled. Jesus Christ!

Terrible Embassy. Rude people. They told my husband our marriage is fraud. My attorney has advised an appeal could take up to 3 years. I am done with these people playing god and am moving to Ghana. I would rather live in a hut and be with my husband than to be without him.

I went there very early waited til 6:30 am when people started coming, by 7:30 a que was set and i was marked the first. The letter was shown to the guards at the gate and all my docs inspected by the guard and scanned through the metal detector. I was then allowed to enter and have a sit inside. After awhile I was called by a ghanian lady at number 1 and she was very rude. She told me to get everything from the binder and from the file. She rejected the passport pictures, but she allowed me to go and get new ones. The new passport pictures were the same size as the old passport pictures, but she accepted the new ones. After she reviewed all of my documents, she requested the 2008 tax transcript, then she told me to have a sit and wait. I waited for almost an hour and I was called for an interview at window 3. I was told me to swear to raise my right hand, which I did. She was speaking too fast, so I said please madam, you are going to fast, I can't hear and understand anything. She ... read complete review
