Sammy got to the Consulate around 6:45 AM and waited with others until the gate opened at 7:30 AM. He made sure to be towards the front of the line as they were allowed to enter. He sat and waited with other interviewees until about 9:30 AM. During this interim time he gave all of his documents to a consular officer who arranged the papers for an interviewer. He said that she was impatient and rude, telling him, and others to 'hurry up.' He was also fingerprinted by another consular officer, who he reported was amiable.
When he was called to be questioned, he was made to swear an oath. He saw his documents by the interviewer and the top page had been stamped with the word 'APPROVED' in red. This made him feel confident. The consular officer asked him questions general to the interview, and specific to our situation:
1. How we met
2. Why did I choose to study abroad in Ghana?
3. Why did I return to Ghana on 2 separate occasions? ... read complete review

My fiance was at US Embassy in Accra this morning to pick their K1 visa. Everything went on well until she realized our son's first name was not correctly splet.
She drew the Embassy staff attention...they eventually re-printed the visa for our son with the correct name.
So finnaly after being in Administrative Processing for about 6 months (from April to September 2013) my fiance received her visa today 27th Sept 2013.
I am a happy man now!!! The light of God never fails!!! Now the stage is set for the next phase! Thank you all VJ members for your immense help and support. Thanks

My fiance was scheduled to pick up her(she and our son) visa packet on Friday,20 Sept 2013. She arrived and waited for an hour and more; only to be told the that the consulate had a problem printing out the visas.
She has been rescheduled to pick up on Friday 27th Sept 2013. The Embassy staff were courteous and apologetic for the inconvenience.
However the real inconvenience was travelling all the way from CapeCoast (about 3hrs from Accra) only to be told of 'printing problem'...anyway we still looking forward to Sept 27th - Friday. Hopefuly..she will get her visa then. Thank you all VJ members for your support... which has motivated my fiance and I up to this final stages of the process. Thank you all!!

NOT EVERYONE WOULD READ MY LONG REVIEW, BUT PLEASE ONE BIG POINT, WHEN ASKED FOR YOUR DOCUMENTS BY THE FIRST EMB STAFF AT THE WINDOW, PLEASE GIVE ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS INCLUDING YOUR EVIDENCE, SOME COs WILL NOT ASK TO SEE EVIDENCE DURING THE INTERVIEW, DONT HOLD ON TO THEM FOR THE INTERVIEW, THE CO LOOKS AT THEM BEFORE THE INTERVIEW! ALSO NOTE, DURING THE INTERVIEW, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONVINCE CO, SAY EVERYTHING, DONT ANSWER 'YES' OR 'NO' AND SHUTUP ...KEEP TALKING TO MAKE YOUR POINTS WHY RELATIONSHIP MUST BE BELIEVED TO BE REAL!
ok, so in general my experience with the emb was good.
i got there close to 7am, i had read here people wait at the roundabout and rush when called, so when i got there, i sat close to the queuing area, after about 15minutes of waiting we were signalled to come form a queue, i walked quickly joined the queue and we showed our appointment letters.
the lady in front of me only had her NOA2 in her hand, and she was tol... read complete review
