It is very easy. My wife only received one question, 'Is all the informtion in the DS230-part2 correct?' After my wife answer yes, the officer just asked my wife to take the finger print and sign the form, then we were all set. The whole process is less than two hours. Most of the time is waiting.

I wasn't asked for any further evidence of our relationship, although I brought a bunch of evidence with me. Getting inside of the building was very simple and was only a matter of maybe three minutes (waiting until some people left the building again). I was allowed to skip the long line in front of the building and got directly inside, because there were no other immigrants waiting. VERY friendly and helpful staff!!!. The "interview" with the Consul only took a few minutes and was mostly just the finger printing and signing the form, and in between he was only interested in how we met, and since I'm still a student in university he wondered how or if I plan to finish my degree here in Germany. Just chit-chat, really. Everybody was really friendly.

I was realy nervouse to go there. Since I was in germany all by myself and my fiance was in the US it mad it a little harder for me to go through all this. I had a huge folder with all the papers I had, pictures, 198!!!!!! emails, bills, plane tickets etc.... I just wanted to make sure to have everything with me and that it all works out... And guess what, I was there for less than 2 hours and than I went home... with my visa in the mail...  I was so happy...

My interview for the K1-Visa was on Feb. 8th. in Frankfurt. I used to live and work there, so fortunately I did not have to worry about finding the way or a hotel.
You cannot miss the embassy - it is a huge area and you just stop where all the people are waiting outside (there are parking spots all along the street).
The longest part of the interview was getting through security, if you aplied for a K1-Visa: get in the right line!
Once you are in you simply wait for your number to be called. I had to go to a total of three counters: first hand my passport and pics in, then my documents (birth certificate, I-134 and so on) and on the third counter the consul asked me a couple of easy questions and that was it.
Everybody was really friendly and the consul was the only one who asked his questions in English, everybody else spoke German.
