I took the train from Stuttgart to Frankfurt, got there around 0708. i went to the medical appointment prior to the interview, which i would recommend, bc at the embassy they ask if you already went to the medical. the doctor´s office opens at 0730. so i was one of the first, had to fill out a form about deseases. i returned that to the receptionist and then she took my information, passport, picture, money. she sent me into the basement to the lab, where my blood, urin, and a x-ray of my chest was taken. i had to wait for the x-ray pic (approx. 5 min), went back upstairs, where i waited for about two minutes until the doc called me in. he checked my reflexes, eyesight, bloodpressure and checked my immunization papers. i had an antibody test prior to the medical to proof that i was still immun against the coomon deseases they ask for. unfortunately they recently added a shot agains (Gebärmutterhalskrebs) which i obviously didn´t have. so, the doc told me that i need that shot first... read complete review

J's interview was yesterday, he was scheduled for 8:30 AM. Arrived by 8:00, and then waited for 4+ hours. He didn't mention if it was crowded, only that the consul was busy elsewhere. After 4 hours, the woman at one of the windows told him it would be about another hour; later she told him that it would be too late for his medical, which was supposed to be after the interview.
He said they didn't ask any questions about us or for proof of our relationship.
He felt that if the consul had been more readily available, the whole thing would have take about 2 1/2 hours.
He also said he was astonished that the interview was conducted in German; he has very good English, so it would definitely not have been a problem.
4 out of 5; too bad they didn't allow him to get his medical done before the interview...

Marco said that the interview was very easy. The people were all very helpful and friendly. His interview was scheduled for 7:30AM and he arrived about 6:55AM. He said that by 7:05AM, there were probably 120 people in line. He was third in line, and the first going for a K1 VISA. Everyone there for a K1 VISA will get a "W ticket number" while other visas get other letters. First you go to a window where someone checks your appointment level, your proof of payment, and tells you to put your documents in a different order. Then you go back to the waiting area and wait for your number to be called. The next window, they review your documents. They even gave Marco some of our proof for the Affidavit of Support back! They only said the employer letter, and 1 year of a tax transcript was sufficient. We had 3 years and then all of my 2008 pay stubs. The next part was more waiting. This time he said he waited like 1 hour and 20 minutes. He then got called to see the consular offi... read complete review

Extremly nice staff up there.Everybody is very helpful and friendly.
We had two Interview dates since due to a missunderstanding I didn't have my son attend the Interview on April 9th,then a problem regarding the uncertainty of my son's Citizenship came up (his bio father is a USC and they had to make sure that my son has no claim to US Citizenship as of right now as that would make him ineligable for a K2) and everybody was very uunderstanding and the problem was solved on April 9th by the Consulate in Frankfurt,I obtained the needed no claim letter for my son on the spot and was given a new Interview date for today April 14th.
They already kept all of our paperwork and so I was just there to give my Fingerprints today, answer very few questions about my Finace (where and how we met and when we'll get married) and "show my son off".
We were in and out in less than two hours.
If you do apply with a K2 child in Frankfurt,MAKE SURE to bring that child regardle... read complete review
