It was a smooth interview process. From the time of arrival until leaving, it took about 2 hours. Both applicant and petitioner attended and were allowed at the interview. We did the following steps: (1) waited in a line outside to get our passports checked and receive a slip of paper; (2) went through security (you can't bring in any electronics - they held my fitbit and phone in a container for me); (3) entered a large indoor room with multiple small windows, including a payment window, document check windows, and interview windows; (4) went to the payment window (we had already paid so we just got a confirmation of that) and received a number; (4) waited until our number was called to go to the document check window, where they asked a few questions to make sure we had all the documents (exactly the same ones that we uploaded for the NVC); (5) sat back down and waited until our number was called at the interview window; (6) went to the interview window and answered questions for abo... read complete review

The interview at the consulate was so easy. Everybody is very friendly. After you get in there are three different sections. At first you have bring the payment document and a photo. On the second person, you give all the necessary documents. They didn't want to have the proof of the relationship and I-864 form. Instead, I gave them i-134 form. The third person was the interviewer. He asked me a lot of questions. Here are some of them :
The questions
- What’s your fiancé‘s name?
- Where is your fiancé right now?
- How did you meet? When was that?
- How many times were you in the US before? Did you have a visa?
- Were you or your fiancé married before?
- Your fiancé is in the Airforce, is this correct?
- Where will you live? Have you been there before?
- Where did you engaged?
- In how many countries did you live?
- When was the last time you saw each other?
- When do you pl... read complete review

(Leaving this review based on the account of my spouse)
We originally received an appointment date for end of April, but contacted the consulate which gave us the opportunity to reschedule to a much earlier date via their online portal.
Here's what happened:
1. Went to first window to submit pass photo (only one required) and interview confirmation / barcode. They also requested passport.
2. Went to second window to hand in W2, tax transcript, marriage certificate, birth certificate and crime report.
3. Interview: Spouse said this was friendly, conducted in English. Questions included, "Does your spouse already live in the US?", "Were you or your spouse previous married?", "Do you or your spouse have children?", "How many people will you live with when you move to the US?"
All in all, it was very quick and they said the passport would be available for pickup within 14 days. The pickup is at a separate location that maint... read complete review

The appointment time was 9:30, but my husband got there early (a little before 9am). My husband had to go through the normal consulate security before actually reaching the window inside. He received a ticket at the window and waited to be called. The actual interview was probably only 15 min long. There were two people in the interview. Both spoke German to my husband during the whole interview. Here are some questions they asked:
1. Where did you and your wife meet?
2. Who is _____ (insert my sponsors name, who is my father).
3. When did you get married?
4. Where will you live when you move to the States?
5. What will you do for work in the States?
6. When do you expect to leave for the states?
7. What does your wife do for work?
The interviewers went through all of the paperwork. We made sure to bring EVERYTHING plus evidence of our bonafide marriage plus everything translated to english (which probably wasn't necessary but we... read complete review

I had my interview today and everything was very smooth. Total time from entering to finished interview was about 2 hours.
Try not to bring any electronics (incl. phone, watches), it will expedite the entire process.
The questions asked at my interview were pretty basic: they inquired about previous marriages, when we met, how long we've been dating, where my fiancee is living etc. - they were not interested in any supplemental evidence like photos or passport stamps, even though I brought some.
At the end I was told the visa is approved and should arrive within 10 business days (by UPS - home delivery)
