The interview went very well, excluding the data that they have. I already did my medical test before and the Doctor says he is gonna send the results to the embassy. But guess what, the embassy said they never received something.

So they were not allowed to give me an approval or not. They gave me a letter with the missing parts/data for the interview. (Medical check uncomplete)

I called the Doctor directly after the interview, but he was already on vacation. (For 3 weeks!!! )

Then I received a letter which says, that my K1 Case will be closed, because I never went through the hole process. The embassy needed a letter of intent, that they open the case again. During the same time, I was calling the Doctor and made sure he send all the missing information.

It all went well! They approved my case and also the interview...

(It was not the fault of the embassy, the embassy was great and nice!!!... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

I had my interview on July 18th and it was scheduled for 8:15am.
I was really nervous because my student visa was denied last year in December.

So .. I arrived around 8 I think and there was no one else but me in the 'immigrant' line outside. You wait in front of the white line until they call you up to Window 1 or 2. The officer asked me for what visa I applied and he and his supervisor congratulated me and were super nice. I was called to window 1 and they gave me a ticket with a number. I went through security check and even there everyone was so nice.

I went outside to the next building and I saw a young guy drinking out of his bottle in front of an officer to make sure there is no poison in it .. I started laughing because the officer was laughing about it too.

Inside the building I was told to go to window 22. I went there, a german guy took my passport and appointment confirmation page and said I've to sit down and wait unt... read complete review

My appointment was 830, I arrived at 8 and was out of the building by 9! You line up, hand over your DS-160, go through security, go inside and show your passport, then you go straight to window 22. There you hand over your passport and appointment confirmation, then take a seat. 5 mins later you speak to the second window, where they take your prints and confirm your details on the DS-160, then you wait about 5 minutes more and have your actual interview with the consular officer.

You swear the oath to be truthful, and then she asked me the follow questions:

- When and how did you meet?
- Did you stay in touch after leaving the United States and before moving to Berlin together?
- How long were you in the states for while studying?
- What does your fiancee do for work?
- When did you get engaged?
- As you're both living in Berlin, is it your intention to move to and stay in the United States?

I think that... read complete review

I had a very pleasant experience at the U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt. My appointment was at 7:30am and I arrived at the Consulate at 6:40 and did not have a problem to find a parking spot at all. I got in line and was literally the 3rd person to be called to the first window and then inside for security screening at 7:20am. At the security screening, I had to give away the X-Ray dvd from my medical appointment in exchange for a ticket to pick it up after my interview was done.
I then walked across a little yard into the actual building. At the reception, I had to show my appointment confirmation and was told to go to counter 22 which is the cashier and had to wait until a little after 7:30am for the cashier to arrive. He was very friendly and put my passport into a folder. After, he told me that I will be called at window 19 very shortly. Literally 5 minutes later, a friendly lady called my number and took my fingerprints and checked mine and my fiancé's addresses. She had my ... read complete review
