The Interview was smooth.
I was so nervous but that was not necessary.
Everybody there was so nice, relaxed and helpful!
When I arrived at the embassy I was first in the wrong queue cause the Officer at the Entrance told me wrong. So make sure you’re waiting in the right line! But thank god, it’s also the shorter one.
Make sure you’re putting everything in the order as listed in the Checklist. Put your Photo to the Passport cause you have to give both at the same time to the officer they send you right after your check in.
After I gave all my documents away I had to wait again for at least 15 minutes till the actual Interview. Which was very easy and only took me 3-5 minutes. The questions they ask were:
When and where did you meet your hubby?
Was he stationed in Germany?
When did he left?
Why married after he left?
And when have you seen him the last time?
Then she told me that this was... read complete review

I was there yesterday, July 2nd. Appointment was at 7:50, I got in at 7:30. Was out by 9:15. My original papers were compared with the scanned documents, I was informed about the visa/green card and social security number. Then called by the immigration officer, had to take an oath and was asked how and when me and husband met, when I saw him last in person, and how we usually communicate. Then she said that she'll be able to approve my visa and I will receive it within two weeks. It was an overall pleasant experience.

The general experience was extremely nice after all the stress and hair pulling.. Frankfurt consulate staff is very professional, efficient and also very, very friendly. The security personnel was very helpful and not rude at all, quite the contrary. They do appreciate a smile and a thank you very much (including “Sir†or “Ma’amâ€).
I got a number, went through security, and sat in the waiting area. Most of the time was spent waiting. My sighting of the original documents took about 5 minutes, which included very few questions about addresses and birthdate..I got information about passport delivery and domestic violence and SSN. I got all my original documents back at the end of the interview.
The consul then took my oath, and asked me very few questions:
1) how and when did you meet your husband
2) when did you see your husband the last time
3) where does your husband live?
Very friendly... read complete review

Pretty much the same experience as others here. I am the petitioner and was able to attend the interview with my fiance, as I happened to be in the country at the time and I had my passport along at the interview.
Also, we were able to get through without the DS160 receipt, but it was a little confusing at the door. In any case we got there at 8 for our interview at 8:30, out at 10.

My interview at the U.S. consulate general in Frankfurt, Germany went down smoothly. I was well prepared and so no unexpected events occurred. I was told the visa would be approved on the same day, but my passport and the visa could take up to 14 days to be delivered.
My appointment was scheduled at 9 a.m. but I was at the consulate early as I had traveled to Frankfurt through the night. At 8.10 a.m. I entered the first building without any comment that I was early. I suspect that an even earlier entry may be granted. My payment status was verified immediately after I entered the visitors hall in the second building and I was called for a review of my documents short after. The agent told me that all required documentation was present and reminded me of the conditions (entry within 6 months, stay of 90 days and requirement to file for adjustment of status). Then I waited in the sitting area of the visitors hall for my interview during which I snoozed occasionally as I wa... read complete review
