My visit at the Consulate was really pleasant, everybody was really nice.
I arrived too early, but it wasn't a problem. After the security check they send you to another building. When you come in, you are in a big hall with counters. You have to wait until it is your turn and the first lady ask you first, if you want to speak English or German. I picked German as I was very nervous and it was no problem. She explained the procedure at the Embassy and confirmed some details of the DS 160 (name of fiance, names of the parents). Then you have to sit down again and wait that the consul calls you (or better, your waiting number appears on a display)
She again ask you if German oder English and again I picked German. You have to take? the oath and then the interview starts.
My questions were:
How did you meet each other?
When was that?
When did you meet the first time in person?
How often did you meet?

4.) Where you get married?.
5.) Where live your husband?.
6.) Do you or your husband have children?.

9.) What are you doing for profession?.

It was a rollercoaster experience. All were friendly but I don`t know why so many questions. And why on this day the both CO were constantly speaking with the other CO. It seems that my CO was a trainee.
And at the end of my interview he asked the other CO to come and check his doings and his PC listings. The other CO raised her shoulders and smiled and that was it. But in between I was ... read complete review

Interview was scheduled for 7:30 AM. I showed up at around 7:00 AM and was out by 9:00 AM.
Here an outline of the different stages you go through:
1) Waiting in the line for US citizens and Immigrant Visas + checking in at the window where you receive your queue number
2) Going through security (if you don't bring metal objects, electric devices, or big bags it will speed things up even more)
3) Reporting to the receptionist (he/she will tell you where to go next)
4) First window (cashier): As I had paid the fee already, I just needed to hand over my passport and passport picture.
5) Second window: Fingerprints were taken; I received information regarding domestic violence, social security number, and the conditional permanent residence status; As my case was entirely digital, the original civil documents were compared to the uploaded ones (the copies I brought were not necessary at all)
6) Third window (interview with the consular offi... read complete review

The interview process in Frankfurt was very simple and smooth, and everyone was very nice.
From what I observed, it is much simpler to go without any electronics whatsoever, any electronics needed to be checked in, and we were able to go through security very quickly without any.
Our only mistake was not paying/"checking in" at the very beginning, which probably cost us an hour of just waiting. Once entering the large main waiting room, there is a reception desk that told us which windows to wait near and we thought that we were then in the pipeline. However, paying at the cashier window is what "begins" the process and starts the processing of the file.
After paying, the process took about 50 minutes in total. We were there for about 2 hours because we made the payment mistake at waited for about 1 hour with having "begun/checked in" by paying.
