Konsulat Review
My appointment was at 7:30. I got to the consulate at about 6:45
There was one person in front of me but the window was still closed. By the time the window opened at 7:25 there were 8 more people behind me. If those the let a couple with a small child and an older lady with a cane accompanied by her daughter get to the front of the line. Unfortunately the gentleman who was there before me and the older lady were not very well prepared or organized and held up the line at different stops quite a bit.
At the first window I handed in my passport and my appointment confirmation print out and was handed my ticket number and then directed on to the next line outside for security. After that I went on to the main building and a friendly receptionist handed me a paper with instructions.
I went to a window all the way in the back and even though I had managed to pass the guy in front of me at security he managed to wiggle ahead of me here ag... read complete review

As my interview for K1 in Frankfurt was yesterday, I want to give a review of what happened:
I was at the consulate at 8.55 and I left at ~1.05 p.m. I received a ticket at the counter, after a consular officer outside the building asked me what the purpose of my visit was. Then, I was waiting for like 20 minutes outside the building in front of a door. I was supposed to go in when I hear a metallic clicking noise, and I could see the line inside the building through a window in the door.
After I entered the building there was the security check, which was really fast for me. I didn't even have to take of my shoes or something (just the belt) and they quickly checked my luggage. The lady smiled about my organized folder and handed it back to me. Then, I was told to leave this building and walk along some path to another building. This other building was totally different from what I expected; it was super big, bright and friendly. There even was a kiosk th... read complete review

As my appointment was scheduled close to Christmas holidays, the waiting times were horrendous. I almost spent my entire day in the embassy and missed almost an entire workday. I also showed up an hour early for a morning appointment, which was really unnecessary because they did not let anyone into the building until the actual time of the appointment. So we were freezing in Stockholm minus degrees for an hour outside and had to take off our jackets to enter the building! Be prepared if you do your interview in winter!!! Haha 😆
Apart from the inconvenience at the entrance, the officers were really friendly and they did their absolute best in an understaffed situation! It was overall a good experience and I was lucky to be living in Stockholm at that time, because other applicants had to travel there from other countries.
The questions asked were very simple: How and when did you meet eachother? How did you become a couple? How many times have you been visiting ... read complete review

Hi everyone,
Just like others have said, our experience at the Frankfurt Consulate was really great. Our appointment was at 08:50, so we decided to arrive early at 07:30. (Just in case ). We went to the counter outside of the consulate and received a ticket number. We showed the security guard the number and were immediately let in. Next, we had to pass through the security check area (similar to TSA Checkpoints at the airport.) We decided to leave our electronics (our phones) at home as people said that they would not be allowed in. ((U5 takes you pretty close to the consulate from the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, so phones aren't necessary anyway.) What we weren't sure about was what the security would do if we DID bring a phone...we found out that the security simply held the phone of the older woman ahead of us until she came back later...which is good to know.)
We entered the main building (following the green line). W... read complete review
