Our interview was Dec 1 at the Paris, France embassy, and since we came very prepared, the interview process went very smoothly, and with no surpises. We saw three different individuals, who were mostly kind and polite (one woman was a bit disagreeable) They were also professional and knowledgable. The first man simply checked my fiance\'s passport, and then checked his name off of a list. The second woman took all of our paper work, one by one, and made sure that we had all we needed (this took about 15 minutes). She also took fingerprints. Finally, it was time for the interview with a third woman, who, before calling us to her window, reviewed our documents. She was very attentive and kind while my fiance responded to her questions, which were:
What he plans to do for work in the USA, whether or not that was his current profession (it\'s not), whether it bothered him to change professions, if he had met and got along with my family, and finally if he liked hot weather (I\'m f... read complete review

Interview was circa 5-10 min long, at the U.S. embassy of Paris, France.
No evidence of relationship asked for.
I.O. asked 3 questions: what does your fiancé do? why have you traveled to the States before? what do you plan on doing when you move stateside?

My fiance's interview was at 1 p.m. He was carrying 2 bags - a backpack and a briefcase containing all his papers. He was told he can't bring in the backpack with him and to go to a nearby hotel to ask them if they can keep his bag while he's being inteviewed. He came back to the embassy telling the guard that no one wants to take his backpack for a few hours. The guard called someone from the embassy to check his backpack and then they let him in. Phew.
My fiance dealt with 2 CO's. The first one took his paper work and making sure everything is in good order. He's speaking with her for about 10 minutes. Then he waited for over an hour for the next CO. The actual interview took about 10 minutes as well.
Topics raised:
1) Previous marriage(s).
2) His first U.S. visit and his 2nd one when he was refused entry. He explained the misunderstanding and his lack of knowledge of VWP rules.
3) What he does for a living in Fr... read complete review

Had our interview scheduled for 1pm, we arrived at 12:45pm, because they said not to be too early, but i wished we had arrived earlier, as there was a HUGE line inside. We arrived, got our number, and waited about 30 minutes until we went to the first window where she confirmed our appointment, and sent us back to wait again. This time, we waited over an hour, until we finally went to the second window. She collected all the documents that were required, our chronopost envelope, and took the passport. We went back to the waiting chair, waiting even longer, almost 2 hours. We were one of the last cases left in the building, and this was the final window, with the vice-consul. Here, he had our completed file, and all the evidence we ever submitted. He asked so many questions, like what our addresses were, our zodiac signs and how we met. The way he asked the questions really stressed us out, and he wouldnt give us a definitive answer, but finally we... read complete review

Difficult to enjoy when it is over a year you have been waiting since husband left thinking it would be quick to join him.
US embassy was as expected, fine, not friendly but professional.
Going to such places is always a little scary and you want to leave asap
in particular around that time of the year
From the number of people at the Embassy, and with the booth system you realize you are really one among a crowd.
The good thing is that We did it finally
Had interview at 1PM.
Went by train to Paris the evening before
Stayed outside of Paris in a family flat
went to Paris early morning
had to go to doctor first to show xray and pick up my medical enveloppe.
In anticipation of interview I had got more recent papers, pictures, originals, was still organizing it in the train and had a big suitcase of papers and computer with... read complete review
