Hi all, so I went to my interview on the 8th scheduled at 9:30am.
I was there at 9am at the main gate, had to go through security let my phones and earphones power bank. I had a small pocket with electronics so I just gave them the whole thing. Very nice people welcoming you.
then you get into the building the security officers will tell you where to go so no worries.
Ground floor, you have this room, I told the lady I was there for k-1 and she asked me to just sit and they will call me. It was like 9:10
Inside it is counter where you just stand there and talk through the window I was very surprised. I expected a more formal interview sit down with an officer and so on..
Then I was called at the counter 7 where the man requested those documents:
- beneficiary's birth certificate + translation + copy
- police certificates (France + Singapore)
- asked me if I lived somewhere else other than France and Singapore... read complete review

Fiance reported process after entering via security. There was very short wait. First window was review of file (indicated that 2 of birth certificats were not originals & these will be needed later when entering US). Second interview asked only handful of questions on where we met and when we will marry - most of the time was spent typing. He said you are approved! (We are currently double checking if the original birth certificats must be provided before completing the processing - it is not clear, since he said the application is approved).

Because it was early I decided to walk there instead of taking the subway.
On the outside of the embassy you have clear signs indicating where you need to go for the Visa interview.
On the outside you pass the first security check and a employee helps you organize the required papers to pass that step (ds160, passport, medical and police report).
There is a second security check where you leave your cellphone. I was only carrying the documents but inside there were people with small backpacks and messenger bags, so they are allowed.
Because I was in the last slot for the interview times the line for the first window (identification) was very long, I needed to wa... read complete review
