No complaints. Compared with trying to deal with USCIS, everything in the Helsinki Consulate went great. The processing was speedy and there were no delays.

I had my appointment scheduled 9 am and when I got there they asked me to show my passport. For some reason they didn't have my name in their list and they started asking if I was sure it was the right day and what kind of visa I was applying for. I showed them the invitation and they took that and my passport and went inside and started calling somewhere. In about five minutes they came back and said it's all under control and called me in. After all the security controls I got into the room where many other people were waiting to be interviewed for various different visas. I gave them all the forms and evidence I had with me (though the man I was talking with didn't want any of the love letters I had with me, haha, he said that you probably don't wanna bother the consul with them and at least he doesn't.. hmph..) Then they took my finger prints and after waiting again for a couple of minutes I had the interview. It was in Finnish and in the same room where everyone else was waiting. ... read complete review

Hi..
the interview was in English and went well and I was asked only a few general questions like when did my fiance and I met and when was the last time we saw each other and that was it. Was no need to be nervous at all.

The Embassy paperwork was rather outdated, but the embassy processed our paperwork VERY quickly. They usually return emails (getting ahold of them by phone is difficult!) within 2 days.
The interview was non-existent and they basically just asked what day we got married and how we met.
