The interview was on April 15th,2021 at US Embassy in Addis Ababa. The medical wasn't yet ready.
Interview was at 8:00 am and arrived 1 hour early waited outside until 07:45 am.
Once inside they checked DS-160, affidavit of Support with 2020 Tax return and 2020 transcripts, police report, Non Marital Certificate, medical receipt from hospital . The following questions asked.
1. What is your fiance name?
2. How many times has he visited you?
3. How you got introduced to your fiance?
Was also informed to bring the medical in person Mon thru Thur between 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. After that the consular officer said congratulations your visa has been approved. It was a great experience and the interview went smoothly. On Thurs Apr 22 medical was ready from hospital. Submitted Medical on Mon Apr 26.

Interview was smooth. Questions were:
1. How and where did you meet your fiancé? What was your fiancé doing in Ethiopia at that time?
2. Where does your fiancé work?
3. Where is your fiancé now? What is he doing in Ethiopia at this time?
They didn’t take the Affidavit of Support form; only wanted tax returns that we had printed. They did take the original birth certificate though.

Had an IR1 visa on 12 Jan. I arrived at the Consulate 45 minutes before the actual interview time which was at 7.30am but was allowed to go in only at 7.30.Consulate staff were very kind and friendly. They give priority to pregnant women and women with children so I had to wait for almost two hours. Interview was very smooth and finished in nearly 10 minutes. Was only asked few common questions :- how I met my husband, how many times he visited, what he does and where we got married. They didn't ask for any additional documentation or photos although I saw others being asked to produce some pics and docs. Was told I am approved and given white paper to enable me collect my visa at DHL. Although the wait for reopening of the Embassy is excruciating, the interview process at interview day compensates it. Thank you God!
