Fiancé was denied a K1 Visa for made up reason. The Embassy in Ethiopia is really poorly managed, the workers are all angry. They told her I was talking to her and another woman at the same time, this was a lie.
They gave her a threatening form letter which basically says the Petition has expired, and to not contact the Embassy or the USCIS again. Last week I read where a woman from the Dominican Republic was complaining about experiencing the same thing from her embassy.
All our documents where complete, they never asked her for Emails or photo's. The only thing I can think of is an incident where the USCIS had mistaking entered the wrong keystroke which showed our Petition was an Appeal Case that was denied.
After talking to their 2nd level staff, the issued was corrected.
What a Crock!!!

I applied for a consular report of birth abroad & passport for my son who was born here in Ethiopia. My husband is Ethiopian,
Before submitting the application I sent multiple questions by email and often got a very quick and helpful response. The telephone operator always sent me back to the automated menu regardless of what I said - even when I told her that the prerecorded info didn't answer my question.
The first day I submitted the application and documents at my 8am appointment. My husband was not allowed to enter the embassy with me. However, it only took about 15 minutes for the woman at window 14 to review my forms and give me an invoice to take to the cashier. She gave back my original documents. After I paid I returned with a receipt and she gave me a note for an appointment the next day at 1pm.

I sponsor my sister it takes 12 years still not done, however now it look like they are working on it . now I am waiting for interview at Addis Ababa us embassy I didn't get appointment letter yet I am expecting soon what I want to know is what they are asking on interview and if they grant her visa the same day
