The embassy was very helpful and timely. They were very helpful in answering my questions prior to the interview via e-mail and telephone. They also accommodated my wishes to be interviewed asap in September (we received NOA2 in late July and I needed to be in Boston early Oct for a friend's wedding). I've heard that they normally schedule interviews only for Thursdays, but they were able to interview me on Friday morning.
The interview itself was very short and smooth. I arrived at the embassy half an hour before my interview, but the security told me they don't let anyone in that early. An intimidating experience, but nothing too overwhelming. The embassy staff were all very businesslike. Interviewed by the consul. Asked questions about where we met, the last time we'd been together, how we communicate, where the petitioner lives and works, where we will live together, how much the petitioner makes. Asked for proof of relationship. They did not give us a yes or no at the interview, because we did not have a birth certificate translated into English, which they require. This requirement was not, however, specified in the packet instructions.

So far the consular section has been very nice and very helpful I have had to email them several times with questions. They've been very fast replying and very kind. My interview is in 10 days, so I will update the review when it's over
