The consular faied to show up for work the day of the interview, 7/22 so we rescheduled for 7/29. The consular was extremely rude and impatient and asked my husband when we had sex. Then he told him he needed to bring two more pictures even though he had already submitted 4 extras that weren't required. This consular sucks and I am going to find a way to hold them accountable if it's the last thing i do.

Review Topic: K3 Visa

My husband's interview went well.. I think he was there for 2/3 hours.. The embassy guy was white, spoke to him in arabic (he didnt ask if he preferred english or arabic)He asked him a few questions - when we got married, what I do for work, Does he speak english (alittle) Does she speak arabic (alittle).. I cant really remember much else.. He was only with the man a few mintues.. My husband brought a big bag of Pictures, emails etc.. BUT the guy declined.. and said it was not necessary. He told my husband he would receive the Visa in 2/3 weeks..And that was it!! My husband said he was very polite.. smiled.

** In the end, we got the Visa in 5 weeks!! **

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiance had his K1 interview about two weeks ago and it was a success! He was asked four questions about me including:
My name?
Where I live?
How we met?
He was asked for proof of my second trip.

My fiance handed over our pictures and the interviewer hurriedly flipped through them and then told him everything looked fine and he would be called in 1-2 months to send his passport. He was given a paper checked Administrative processing and passport by the consular officer. Too, the embassy lost his passport- sized photos and he had to leave the embassy and go take new ones Other than that, things were fine.

My husband had his review at the end of January 2007 and everyone was very nice to him he said. The only thing was is we had a joint sponsor and the guy that interviewed my husband said that he can not except it because she was not the petitioner and gave him the papers back. I was always told by the uscis and others that they accept joint sponsor papers for both K1 and K3 papers. That I guess is not true at the Cairo embassy. Very dissapointed in their decision not to accept it. We are now waiting at what they call the Officers Final Review stage for the last month.
