My husband arrived 30 minutes before the interview. He and another man were waiting, they were told to form a line outside of the embassy. At 7:30 am, they entered. They waited a while until they were called. My husband was interviewed by a white man--very nice, spoke a little, broken, Arabic. My husband would reply in English, but the man spoke to him in Arabic anyway. He asked him how we met and whether he spoke English or not. When my husband reached for the evidence he'd prepared for weeks, the CO told him it won't be necessary, they had everything they needed. [we sent pictures and notarized letters from family and friends with the I-130] After that, they took his fingerprints, then he was asked if he understood everything that was on the paper before he made his oath--he said "yes," we had read it together before hand. After that, he payed for DHL and the CO told him that he would receive the visa after 14 days, "Welcome to the US."

My So said the Interview only lasted 3 mins. He arrived at 0730 and waited almost 4 hours before he Interviewed. However, once he was called it was very quick. The Co was very nice he said. Just asked a few questions..then told him congratulations...enjoy life in USA...and have happy marriage always
He was fingerprinted and paid the DHL fee. All within 3 Mins. He was so Happy and relieved when he called me at 1030. Way to go Cairo Consulate for making my SO feel comfortable and relaxed. Of course for approving visa too.

Ahmed had a great interview with a super nice consular officer in Cairo. She didn't ask to see any evidence so all the extra pictures, bank statements, divorce decree, phone records, etc, he left in his briefcase. She asked him how we met and when I visited. She asked if I had come for more than one visit. She asked what he planned to do once he got here. Was he going to school? She asked when he planned to come to the USA. She told him he should have his visa in 3 weeks and said it was only good for 3 months. I thought it was 6 months but he said she told him 3 months. If I remember anything else, then I will tell you.He said she was typing things into a computer as he answered. He had to wait a long time for the interview, too.
