Our interview went really well, thank God! The consular officer was VERY nice! We were in & out of the interview within 5 minutes! She only asked us a couple of questions:
~When/how did you meet?
~When did you purpose?
~How many times has your fiance been to Egypt?
~When were the dates of her visit?
~Have you met each other's family?
~How do both of your families feel about your relationship?

As my fiance answered each question, she typed his responses into her computer. Throughout the entire interview, she was laughing & joking around with us. We had TONS of supporting evidence (bonafides), but she said our packet was perfect & that she had enough. She told us she could really see & feel how happy we were together. She kept my fiance's passport & told us we'd receive his passport along with his visa within a few weeks and sure enough... WE DID!!! ... read complete review

Husbands interview was on 7 Dec 09 so I flew to Cairo to be with him. We waited about 3 hours until we finally were able to be interviewed. The interview took only about 20 minutes. The Consular Officer asked how we met, when we met(almost 4 years ago) when we married and when we were divorced from our previous spouses. He was very friendly and at the end of the interview he took the passport and said " Congratulations, your visa is approved and you should have it in about a week" we were so happy, kissed and cried and thanked the man. Today is 2 Jan 2010 and my husband still has not received his visa. We have written the Embassy and gotten the generic reply: your visa is currently waiting for administrative processing.
We do not understand the wait and pray that it is only because of the holidays and american staff being on vaccation that we have to wait for the final paperwork.

I arrived at the embassy at 8 a.m, handed the guy at the gate my interview letter, he signed it and gave it back to me. I entered the embassy and showed an Egyptian lady my interview letter, the folders I had, and my purse. She said: \\\"Wow, that\\\'s too much proof\\\" and asked me to open my purse and she went through its content while another lady scanned me with a body scanner.. She then asked me to switch off my cellphone and give to her along with my USB flash memory, she gave me a card with a number and asked me to enter... I went in where the interview took place.. A guy asked me for my interview letter again, he looked at it fast and gave me two little papers with a number and asked me to have a seat and wait... There were many people waiting and many did not have seats!

I waited till my number was called the first time... I went to a window, there was that Egyptian veiled lady.. She asked me for my original birth certificate and my passport.. I gave her both t... read complete review
