He went to interview, they said no 1040 tax form which is not true i sent W2 and IRS transcript NVC requested, (called NVC) they said well just send what they want. Then they told him since Im on disability also they need another co sponser also or someone to sign legal papers offering him a job. I know no one else have tried for different sponsers so this may be the end of our road. Im angry, disappointed etc. My co- sponser is above their guidelines I feel they are just being extremely difficult for whatever their reasons, their r jobs open around me but they wont give him a chance.

I wanted to start off by saying that we were one of the lucky couples that got to file our I-130 here in Cairo because we had scheduled our appointment before the August cutoff date. We called the embassy in May after the required 6 months was up and the soonest appointment they had was Sept 6th. I was kinda worried after we read about the new filing rules and i emailed the embassy to see if we were able to still file here and keep our appointment. One response we got back was "yes we are honoring all appointments made before Aug"...and another just copied and pasted the new rules on filing and said to file in the US...i believe that some responses you get after emailing the embassy are people responding and not knowing what they are talking about. Anyways we went to our appointment and were approved. I'm not gonna go into all the details cuz they're the same as when we had the interview. The lady we met with at the window was really nice..it was an Asian lady. She asked us when we got... read complete review

Although it gave me a vibe of a Harlem's emergency room on 135th and Lenox, NY, it was a lot more organized than anticipated. Other reviews pointed out the long lines and somewhat desperate behavior of the customers, but I didn't experience anything out of the norm. Other than sitting in the room for way-too-long waiting for your number to be called several times to pay and then to interview, I must say it was a seamless, uneventful transaction.
We were #10 in the line, grabbing #510. Within minutes we'd paid the fee and DHL. We sat like what seemed forever, waiting for the interview. Both ladies were friendly: the one that checked his originals and my file and then the consular that interviewed us. They looked a little stressed, but that's understandable. I gave it 4 stars only because I think the payment and interview could be consolidated into one transaction and I believe the lack of privacy adds to the stress. Talking about personal stuff thru a microphone is a little embar... read complete review

Ok, I am back home. Let me tell you all about my chaotic but sooo worth it past few days. My husband spoke with somebody that he knows from the embassy that advised him strongly to have his spouse with him...so on Thursday night I booked my ticket for Friday morning and I was off. I arrived to Cairo Saturday at like 9 pm and we were supposed to be at the appointment at 730am the following day (Sunday). And before sleeping we heard all this news about how 39 people had died at Tahrir square and there was a lot going on there so we went to sleep wondering if the embassy would even be open. That insecurity was eating me through the night.

Ok, so we got to Tahrir Square at 6:45am and there were a lot of people there from the protests and so many people were awake there, it did not feel like it was that early. We walked through and these kids asked to see our passports so that we could go through and get to the embassy. That was all fine. We passed by the protesters and then ... read complete review
