To put it simply, the interviewer was unethical, clearly judgmental, refused to even look at my husband's evidences, treated him like dirt and talked to him like he was some sort of criminal. I know it's their job to ask a lot of questions, but the way this guy responded was as rude as you can get. We are under administrative processing. We have a child, 5 monhts old whom has never met his father, as I had to leave Egypt during my pregnancy due to terrible sickness. His interview was this morning 2m/12d/2013. We are so disappointed and depressed. My son will face living as much as a year possibly or more without knowing his own loving father. This is disgusting and I intend to write to every high authority and barge in full throttle into the state offices to fight this dispicable Embassy. These people are the worst assholes you ever meet. They treat you like scum of the earth. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? These people treat you like you are coming to the USA to t... read complete review

My husband had his interview on Dec 4th, 2012 andwas put in Admin. processing and was told 4 to 8 weeks. Its now 8 weeks later and nothing of course they been closed for the past few days. When we check the us embassy in Cairos website our case is still not found, (with or without the cro # ) but in the us dept of state (Ceac) website it is there and it say still under Admin processing. We have had no status date updates till recently . Why,I have contacted my local senators office for help here in the USA . In the space where its has the date where is says status updates has now changed six times . Does anyone know what that means? Are they working on the case or is it just cause the senators office contacted them and every time they do and reply to them they update the date. nothing changes but the date , still says Admin processing. also is there a difference between admin processing and administrative review. they told us 4 to 8 weeks and we are 8 weeks now I am getting impatient. ... read complete review

The appoinment time was more than 5 hours, the officer was very scepticle of our relationship and we had to prove our relationship. We we told to send additional information for this purpose. The officer wasnt very nice to my husband and in the end after a long ay, swearing in his information and fingers prints. He was told he had to go thru an AP.

My husband got to the American Embassy at 5:30 a.m. There were a couple of people there before me. He thinks they belonged to the visiting visa section. By 6 a.m. the lines were full of people. At 7 a.m., the lines were started to divide (visitor visa and immigration visas). They let him in around 7:15 a.m. or so. He took a number and sat down and they started to call numbers. My husband went in and a woman checked his papers to make sure they were in order. She told him to sit and he will be called again. He waited about 30 minutes and he was called back to a window. He met his counselor and the interview went very well. He was very nice to my husband and made him feel comfortable. He was given an AP and told to check his status online. So far nothing shows up so we are just waiting....hopefully he gets his visa soon!
