I (the petitioner) did not attend the interview. This is our review of how it went:
The interviewer focused most on: the circumstances of us meeting/getting married. To give you a bit of background: We met online in summer of 2013, I flew to Cairo in Dec 2013 and then a couple weeks later we were married in Jan 2014. Our red flags are: We were together for less than 6 months before we married and married the first visit. Age is not a red flag (I'm a couple years younger than him) and we have similar education/career levels. Neither of us have kids or been married before, and neither of us have applied for a visa before. Here's how it went:
*CO asked some basic questions about where I work and what my day is typically like*
*CO asks about when we met and why we got married so quickly*
My husband answered along the lines that both our families are religious and especially his family would not have accepted us unless we had a shor... read complete review

First I went to the clerk or admin to put my paperwork in order and she took my medical. I did two medical exams on was on 2 April and the second after I got packet 4 on 27 of April. She said why do I have two medical it's valid for 6 months! I was well it's recommended on the embassy website to have it done 2 or 3 weeks before the interview! not my fault lol she smiled she was cool lady. She asked me do I have any newer photos I said yes. She looked at the back of the photos and told me when did you take them I said the same date on the back,, she looked back at me like that's weird lol. She told me to open the two medical exams envelopes and give her what's inside, she didn't take the CD or the vaccination record. Finally she gave me a form or a brochure about the Domestic violence and spousal abuse she said read it to know your rights in case she tried to beat you up or something hahaa whaaaat!!! I wish a **** would lol
I waited about one hour then they called... read complete review

I am so disappointed. My fiance had his interview today. It went really bad. I've read of similar cases that have had things like this happen that have been approved though. Please tell me what you think:
My finace is from Egypt. He had to go to a room different than the others. All of the other rooms are next to other rooms and have translators inside. His was far from all the other rooms and did not have a translator. When he first went in the lady took the cosponsor paper and handed it back to my fiance. So they did not even look at our financial information! The consular officer was very harsh with him. He asked crazy questions that I have not even seen on here! He also asked very personal questions. For example, they asked if my fiance and I had sex. My fiance was very embarrassed and said no and blushed. The consular officer said, "I should remind you that you took an oath before coming." So my fiance said, "yes we did. I'm sorry I'm just embarrassed and nervous b... read complete review

So I just came back from the interview ..
I went there 7:00 am .. yet there was a long line ahead of me and another set of two lines (my line had 13 cases to be exact ahead of me)
They asked for the Aramex papers and the P4 letter .. I showed it to them and then they let me in
I went down to the hall and they gave me a waiting number (614)
There was far more Visa cases than the IV ones .. with different number systems .. 500s and 50s
Here how it all goes .. there are windows 5 to 8 that are for preparation of documents .. you wait till one of em call your number
They have the files from NVC and ask you for the rest to complete your file then they ask you to sit down again
then windows 9-15 are for officers who call your number again for an interview
mine was a quick one.. he told me to raise my hand and approve the sear of saying the truth
then he told me about the abuse laws in the USA
then he asked few ... read complete review
