Review Topic: K1 Visa

We had our interview on March 28, 2016. We arrived way too early (5am) and my fiance was quick to the line at 730. My son and I waited outside for him to be done. At 9 am he returned to bring us in to the Embassy. We waited for 35 minutes before our number was called again. We went to the office at the end of the hall, and the officer wanted to know what happened with our first case. I offered my thoughts on it and she compared our paperwork and evidence. She asked to talk to me in private. After my fiance and soon left, she asked if I was okay, she said I looked very tired. I explained the 5 am arrival. She then asked if I felt safe. She asked about his hobbies, his family, our plans after his arrival, my hobbies, if he had met my family, my jobs, how the meeting between my son and my fiance went. She asked if we had Facebook, and how we communicate.
Once she was done, she checked our papers, said everything looked good and it went well. She told me we would be in AP, that it i... read complete review

Me and my fiancee attended the interview. Our appointment was scheduled at 8 am. We arrived at the embassy at 7 am and waited til 7:30 when the doors are opened.
We quickly got through security and were assigned a number. Around 8 am they called us to check our paperwork and took my fingerprints. they told us to wait to be called again. At 8:40 we had the actual interview. The consular officer was a young blonde lady who was very friendly. She asked us How we met and when, how many times my fiancee visited me, how long were the visits and the type of accommodations(hotel, guest house, etc). She then asked if we had any wedding plans and she even suggested us some places lol, as she was familiar with the area my fiancee lives in. After she told us congratulations and handed us the approval letter.
My fiancee asked if there was any chance of our case to be under AP, the officer said no. So hopefully we will have an update soon :D

We had our interview for the K1 visa. I wanted to write some detailed information to help others who are going in for their interview. Here's what happened to us.

We arrived at 7am outside the embassy. At that time they keep everyone away from the entrance. Many others were there waiting too but we were just scattered about (there's no line at this point).

At approximately 7:10, we were made to form 2 lines near the embassy entrance. This is when its important to get your place. Those closer to the front will be allowed in first.

While in line we were given some instructions, a list of items you can't bring in as well as what papers are required to enter. If you don't have your passport pictures (2 min) and your aramex document delivery you won't even be allowed in (conveniently there's a place a block away that will give you passport photos if you forget).

After a few minutes, embassy staff started at the front of the ... read complete review
