this is what happen during my visa interview at the US embassy in Dominican Republic...
4:30-left to consulate arrived a little before 5am
around 6:15-people began going into the embassy
7:20-called to window 21 for documents (they asked for the BP receipt and for another Police Certificate which I am glad we had, along with the medical) lucky number was 350
7:55 called to window 13 fr fingerprints.
Around 8:30 called to window 23 for interview.
A very nice African American Woman swore us in and the questions began. First she bagan speaking to me in spanish but then I got so nervous that I asked if I could speak in english instead.
Gives my husband the second part of the Ds-230 to sign then asks...
"How did you meet and when?"

Our appointment was at 6:00am. We arrived at the consulate at 5:50am and the line for immigrant visas (“residencia”) was already very long. As soon as you step into the line people start selling their services to you (taking photographs, filling in forms, etc). One of those guys was telling us that the photographs needed to be stapled to the forms. Please don’t listen to them; if you do you will void your photos and the consular officers will not accept them.
At around 6:10am the line started moving. Have your interview letter in hand when you start approaching the entrance because it will be taken from you before you enter the facilities. We made it in at 7am. The inside is roomy, there are plenty of places to sit down, there are ceiling fans all over the place, and there is even a small cafeteria in there.
