I am the Petitioner and my fiance is the Beneficiary:
We stayed at Aparta Hotel Jardines Del Teatro across the street and about a block away from the US Embassy. At 5:15am we were on line at the consulate. Around 6am the employees dressed in yellow shirts that read INFO started handing out the ticket with the numbers, ours was 599. They stapled interview letter with the ticket and before we were let through security they take the interview letters and gave us the extra ticket number to take with us. For security check we were separated men to the left women to the right. (Do not listen to the buscones as all interviews regardless of the time can line up against the consulate.)

Once inside and the place was starting to fill up we were instructed that those for immigrant visas sit to the right closest to the cafeteria and those for non immigrant visas such as “visas de paseo” sit to the left towards the entrance and exit doors.

After about 7am we ... read complete review

What all have read in previous reviews is accurate in terms of the line outside, benches inside, and consulate windows...speaking through glass.

Arrived at five thirty for our six forty five appointment, with the line moving promptly at six fifteen. In and seated, we were called to window 21 at around 8:30, where we submitted the Banco Popular receipt, police report, physical examination, and some original documents were returned to us, but not all. The woman at window 21 appeared to be asian, and all questions were asked in english.

Our situation was unique, in that my wife and I were married in Port au Prince, Haiti, and she is a Haitian citizen living in the Dominican Republic on a work visa. She does not have a cedula, but has a Dominican Republic visa in her passport, so we submitted that and her national ID for Haiti in lieu of a cedula.

The woman verified our information, asked where we will live in the U.S., and asked my wife my b... read complete review

Awesome Day
We arrived to be number 20 in line, so we were there at about 5:20 am.
Yes our appointment was at 6:45 am, and our number given in line was 610.

Sorry to disappoint you but the number - when you are called are not in order. They seem to select ramdom when it was time for Fingerprinting, and interview.

So my fiance and I just sat, waited very patiently and 6 hours later we were called and the interview only lasted about 5 minutes.

APPROVED.
FYI -We were at window 24, very lovely lady. She just asked how we met, and our wedding plans - the last question was for my husband to be. Did he plan to wwork as an Engineer in the US. His replay yes, indeed!

God is awesome!

Wedding TIME!
