We stayed at Jardines del Teatro which not only is close by but also nice hotel and very good price. Our appointment was at 6:45am and my husband didn't want to arrive earlier than his scheduled time. When we got on the line there was a wait which went by pretty fast talking to others on the line. A guy with a yellow INFO shirt asked us for the appointment letter we showed it to him and he gave us a number. Like always the men line was shorter than the female line because my husband got in before I did. Once we where both inside we sat down and waited for our number to be called. We where first called for his fingerprints then called again to submit police certificate, pictures, and banco popular receipt. After that we sat there patiently waiting and just trying not to think to much about it. Finally after a while we where called to window 22. At first my heart was pounding but the African-American lady swore us in and began asking questions. My husband had a fiance 10 years ago ... read complete review

We arrived at 5:45 am and there were already 40 people or so in line. There's tons of people offering unnecessary information and it was aggravating, especially at that time in the morning. We parked the car in a private parking lot for 200 damn pesos. I was loaded with evidence and I looked at everyone else's.....they had Nothing compared to what I brought. We stood in line until about 6:50 and then the line quickly broke up into two - men on the right, ladies on the left. As we walk in, I'm stunned to see the building itself and the seating, interview areas, windows, etc...are far from professional or what one would expect at a US Embassy related facility. There's about 50 long metal benches and after sitting there for 20 minutes, they announce ( in Spanish only) who should sit on what side of the room. We were number 557.
So the waiting begins....... We see every number imaginable called. It's about 8:30 and still nothing. It didn't help my nerves that the nu... read complete review

We stayed at the Jardines del Teatro hotel just a half a block away.
We got to the consulate at 5:45am. There are 4 numbered lines but 1-3 where all one line (immigrant visa) and line 4 was for non-immigrant visas). At around 6:10am one of the workers came around clipping the numbers to the appointment letter and got the line moving(ours was 218). By 6:45am we were inside and waiting to be called. At about 7:30am we were called to window 17 and where asked for ds 156, 156k, 157, 230, birth certificate, cedula and affidavit (she said "I saw something like an affidavit there, you can give it to me now if you wish"). From there we went to window 13 to pay the US $210 visa fee for fiance. We went back to window 17 gave our receipt and where told we would be called again.
This was the longest wait. We were finally called by our number to window 24. She was a nice, young woman and spoke spanish very well. After swearing us in she asked us:
Do you have any kids?<... read complete review

Arrived very early at 6:00am, already a line outside. A lot of \\\"buscones\\\" do not pay attention to them. Have your appointment letter ready when you get in line, a person with a yellow \\\"INFO\\\" shirt will give you a ticket with a number which will be the number used to call you to the windows when you are inside. Be prepared for a long wait. Inside there are rows of metal benches which after a few hours become a little uncomfortable.
First we were called to window 13 and had fingerprints done, we sat down for another 45minutes and were then called to window 21 where we deposited the remaining documents that the NVC requested. We sat down for about 2 more hours where we were finally called to window 17 where we were sworn in. The Consular Officer told me to have a seat and once my wife was alone she was asked the following questions:
How did you meet
Husbands date of birth
Husbands siblings
What gift(s) did he bring you for you... read complete review
