My interview was july 12 .Well to make it short you all know the park thing and they call you and the #. Javier was 142 out 152. after that they make a big line and call your name again and give the carnet back to him , i show my passport and they let me pass. Like i was a citizen i skip the whole line we were the fist to enter the embassy and another 3 couples that were k-1 visa too. we enter in a roon where they check the documents and then to another one where they pick up the documents and you have to wait to take the finger prints. This took a little of time becuase they told us that we have to wait for an update that has to be done to the k-1 cases. Also we paid 240 fee for the visa in that same roon. the number that they gave us was red 23. After that we pass another security point and we have to wait to be call for the interview .30 mint later we where call . Our interview took only 3 mints
they ask him
How many time have i travel to see him
in what year ... read complete review

I flew in to be with my husband for the interview, which was on July 18. We arrived in front of the building by 6:30am. At that time everyone was still waiting in a small park in front of the consulate. Soon two representatives started explaining the process and began calling out names and your corresponding number. Make sure to remember your number as you will wait in line to enter the consulate by your specific number. We were #37, My husband had to hand in his Carnet and I showed my Passport in order to wait in line with him. I think those who were applying salida definitive went first and then those with K-1 or Salida indefinida were next in line. Those who were there to pick up visas were last in line. We had to pass through a few different security check points( no envelopes, flash drives, cameras, belts, lotions, canned drinks, mirrors etc are allowed) We then waited inside a small bunker again in number order where two representatives looked at all documents to make sure everyt... read complete review

We had our interview on july 5th 2012. Things didnt start out good because we were late. We got to the little park on the corner by 7:30 am and they had already given numbers to everybody that was gonna be interviewed that morning, so we had to go to the end of the line. My advice: be there before seven so you dont have to stand in line too long.
Then we got in and they put you in a little room with a bunch of people to check your papers. The lady there was very nice she checked everything and made two bundles with our papers:one with the evidence and another with the rest of the papers.
Then they send you to another room where we handed out the papers through a slot on a glass window and they took my fiancee finger prints. It was here when we were gonna hand out the evidence bundle and to our surprise the lady said she didnt need that. she only took the rest of the forms and the affidavit.
Then again to another room where we waited for almost an hour before they... read complete review

We had our interview on June 21. We arrived to the park near the Interests Section around 6:30, just as two representatives were explaining the process. They assigned numbers to all those who had interviews that day. First they began with those the visas temporales and then they assigned the numbers for the visas definitivas (such as the K-1). We were assigned number 134.
We then lined up (in the rain) to enter the building. The line was slow moving- we entered the building around 10:30.
Once you enter the building, you pass through security, and then to a room where they check your documents. The man there told us we should be prepared to hand in the application forms/affidavit as well as a selection of our evidence. He also assigned us a red card with the number 10 printed on it. Other people (not fiance visa applicants) were assigned blue cards.
From there, we passed to another room, where we handed in our documents, took ... read complete review

I was so surprised at how easy it went. Honestly, the worse part was the waiting but incredibly time seemed to pass quickly. I think I had more stress dealing with the evidence and preparation, and even going through Cuban customs, then I did at the U.S. Interest Section.
First, if you can go to the interview it is a good idea. I saw a couple there that was at their second interview because the US Citizen was not there at the first interview and they wanted to speak to him. This delayed the process about three (3) months.
We arrived at the park in front of the USINT at approximately 6:30 a.m. Precisely at 6:45 a.m. two Cuban USINT security personnel came out and started calling out names. First, they began calling out names for those applying for visas to visit the U.S. Then they went on to call those applying for visas to leave Cuba permanently. Amel was on that list, #149. They have us wait in a line leading up to the building. Bring your shades... read complete review
