The wait was long, about 1 1/2 hours. First, went to the window and the lady looked through the papers to make sure that they were all there. Then that's when the 1 1/2 wait occured. The consulate was late, but was called in quickly once he arrived. He really only asked a couple of questions, like how we met my fiancee's name, her occupation, my occupation, and where she lives. He didn't look at any of the extra photos brought. Then the interview was over and said I could come by in 4 business days to pick it up. Overall pretty good.

We had the interview yesterday and it went perfect (although I had nausea and stomachache all day). When they first called us, the lady was checking all the documents and she asked: how long have you known each other, how did you meet, any of you previously married, where did my husband learn spanish. We were told to sit down to wait for the consul. There were 3 people before us. We waited for approx. 1h and the consul called us. As soon as he just saw we put the wedding albums, folders, others on the counter, he said: we don't need those. He checked the documents right away and the only thin he asked was to my husband, what do you do for a living? and TADA!!! He asked the lady next to him, Friday at 3pm to pick up visa, right? She said yes, then he said Friday, 3pm to pick up visa. Then I said, that's it? Listo? He said yeah, Friday. I asked if I could have my old passport back and I will get my visa on Friday.

The interview went great for me aside from the long waite and there finger print machine not being able to read my fiancee's prints everything was great, the lady that interviewed us was very nice and polite I made a few jokes and she was a good sport about it, since the lady spoke broken down spanish she asked me most of the questions and and i helped translate the words that she could not say to my fiance, as i said wonderful expericence aside from the nervousness that is lol

We arrived a little before our scheduled time of 12:00. Around 12:30 we were called up to the window. A woman asked for all the required docs and we turned them in to her. She put them in a folder, which appeared to have all our other information. Then we sat and waited FOREVER! We were not called up again until after 5:00pm. Our interview was very short. The Officer looked through our paperwork and asked some basic questions. She wanted to see my passport to verify I had been to CR as many times as I said I had. She asked to see pics, so I showed her the 6 x 8 album I had made just for the interview (btw- highly recommend Ritz.com for this- you do it all at home and then pick-up in the store in an hour). She did not even flip through the whole thing and gave it back. Next, she told us she saw no reason to deny the petition and told us to come get it on Friday to pick Diego's passport with the visa (our interview was on a Wed. and they don't allow you to pick-ip on Thurs.) ... read complete review
