The interview process was rather fast and easy. As long as you have all your documentation in order, there should be no problem. There were only a couple of questions that threw my Fiancee off guard. She was asked how I received my citizenship, I never explained that part to her. They also asked her a couple of questions about my tax return forms. She had no real answer for either question, however her reaction was honest and controlled. It seems to me that the interviewer is more concerned with reaction rather than the answers.
I bought our tickets a month ago. Our interview was on Friday, and I bought the tickets for the Saturday of the following week. I was lucky enough to receive the visa the day before, but I would recommend to wait until you have the visa before buying tickets just in case there is a delay. Good luck to everyone working their way through this process, and any questions would be welcomed.

Greetings all, just had our interview today and it went great , just a couple hickups..... Didnt bring the reciept for payment to the embassy, so i had to go to the internet cafe accross the street to print it out...the security let me just come back in without waiting in line again which was nice.....when we went to the first window (la colombiana) she was so nice and quick i didnt think that it was an interview , the only questions she asked my fiance was my full name and my phone number.......we waited and waited and waited some more, we passed the time helping this woman fill out the 230 forms for her and her 2 kids since she spoke no english and i was the only gringo there ( besides the embassy personell).....by the way, the 230 form was not on the list of forms at the embassy, so we didnt even take it out of our envelope.....i am in no way suggesting not bringing it, just an observation...... 3 hrs later when they called her to the window the lady was very serious, asked all of t... read complete review

In general, if you go prepared the process is easy, is more the waitting than the actual time at the interview. In my case they didn't ask for the DS230 (PART 1) nor for the updated proff of our relationship. The first interview was a bit more agressive, they ask question to confuse you and make sure that you are not lying, they ask for your papers and they start on your case, then after waitting for almost hour and a half I was called for the interview with the Consul, was nice, friendly and in a matter of two minutes I got to hear the words that we've been waitting for so long APPROVED!!! good luck to everyone and be sure that as long as you have all the papers and everything that is requested, as long as you follow the instructions word by word there is no reason to fail in the process.

Interview went smoothly. Interviewer was courtious and professional. We had reviewed the instructions carefully and had all paperwork needed. We were in and out in less than two hours. Doctor's appointment went well as my wife took her certifications of vaccinations and medical records with her to the appointment.
