My wife and her daughter went alone to the interview. The interview was at 12:30 and they arrived at 10. They were let in close to 12:30 and were told to hurry and go to window 5. There they spoke with a lady who was very serious. She was looking through the packet that I had submitted to the NVC. She asked my wife these questions. Where was your husband born? My wife answered, Los Angeles Calif. How long have you two been married? The last time I saw her in person? Then told my wife that I was born in New York. My wife told her no, Los Angeles California. She then said ok and told her to take a seat.

An hour later, a man asked her to come to the window, who was not as serious and greeted her. She then asked her if she swore everything that was inside the packet was true, she said yes. Then asked her if she was nervous and my wife said yes. He asked her why and she told her because he was going to make the decision if all of us were going to be together as a family. Hi my love,God bless you.Im really happy because soon will be with you.

Our interview was scheduled for 10:00 so, were there by 8:00, asked were to go and someone from the embassy asked to review our paperwork. This person made sure we had all the papers, (interview letter, pictures, police letter, doctor's letter and passport)and told us to wait by the cafe. Mind you ,it was probably 8:15. We sat down and after 20 mins. We heard my wife's name over the loudspeakers calling her to the window. Some other embassy worker went over the paperwork, asked us for some missing papers and, about 10 mins. later the consul showed up. Asked my wife how did we meet, if she has met my family, asked her to tell her about the wedding and where did I work, have her swear that all her answers were truthful and After that he said: "congratulations your application has been approved" took her fingerprints, had her sign part two of DS-230 and gave her a piece of paper so she could call DHL for visa delivery. And wished her the best of luck. We were out of there by 9:00

Well it's very hard to give a review since i wasnt the one i was there. Based on what my husband told me, i am going to try.

My husband went alone to his interview. same deal line 3/green sticker/security
first lady was the colombian - Ask for test results, passports and police record
waited approximately 1.5 hours before being called.

Once called..same drill - my name/his name/how w met/where we got married (this was a tricky question.. they used the different country to get him confused - but my husband is so confident!)Have you ever applied for a visa? sign ds-230/fingerprints/approval/welcome to America and then the consul gave him the DHL instructions.

His interview was approximately 10 minutes. He said everyone was very nice and he was not asked to give any documents other than the police record.
They actually gave him back some of the originals we sent to NVC.

Happy and are feeling oh so Blessed!... read complete review

Visa interview was set for Monday, 10/22/2012 at 7:30a. We arrived at the embassy gates around 7am and walked right up to Gate 3, the other lines are for tourist and business visas and are very long. Gate 3 only had about 4 people waiting in line.

After going through security we were asked to go to window 5 where a nice lady reviewed our documentation. We had a bit of a panic when the lady said the police certificate we brought was not the right one (it said "Procuraduria General" and not "Policia Nacional") so she gave us a permission slip to go outside on one of the internet cafes and print the right version and bring it back before 8am.

After we gave the right piece of paper we waited to be call for the interview with the consul. The lady at the window kept the passports (fiancee and her son), DS156, DS156K and Affidavit of Support with documentation, but returned everything else including the DS230s. This is the longest wait and my fiancee was a ner... read complete review
