Review Topic: K1 Visa

In general the interview lasted 15 mins and they were eternal for me, I traveled from the US to accompany my fiancee that day, the embassy staff is very friendly, the officer who interviewed was very nice and friendly with my fiancée, they let me in as a companion, petitioner, but in the final interview they asked me to wait in the waiting area cause they need to interview my fiancée alone.
The whole process went as planned and even the hotel and transportation service was wonderful, we made the appointments one behind the other, starting Monday at 7am for the laboratory, Tuesday 7am for ASC (biometrics), in the afternoon the doctor, Wednesday we went shopping in the morning and in the afternoon we picked the medical results on Thursday the GRAND DAY, the interview at the embassy at 7:30, we arrived at 7am, we got the approval without any issues.

Really short wait time and extremely nice staff! I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment time (7:30 am) and was directed inside the embassy right away. A lady in a table organized my documents (she only included my DS160 confirmation, birth certificate, police record, i134 with evidence, passport and passport style pictures, and closed medical envelope) and gave me back everything that she didn’t need, including all the relationship evidence. After going through the security checkpoint I was asked about my visa type and upon informing them that it was a K1 they made me skip the line (which I assume is for all other non-immigrant types) and I went straight to a lady in a table who checked my documents again and instructed me to approach a window where I talked to a lady through a telephone. She asked me my information, opened the medical envelope, and clipped my papers together inside my passport. She told me to go back to the lady in the table who gave me a numbered card and t... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Due to reading others experiences prior to our interview appointment we arrived at 7:00am for our 8:30 appointment. We mentioned that we’re here for an immigrant visa and was ushered straight in. A man sorted our papers. He asked for both of our original birth certificates, our marriage certificate, her police report, my original divorce decree, her passport and four photos. Translated documents were not taken. He put green dots with IV on both of us. Then when inside a woman sorted through our papers again and assigned us to a window. After a short wait we were called to the window where the woman returned my birth certificate and our marriage certificate. She said that it wasn’t necessary. Then we were assigned a number and sent to wait for another window near the coffee shop. We ordered two cups of coffee and waited. After another short wait we went up to the window for our interview. My wife talked to a man. He asked her what I did for work and if I speak Spanish. That... read complete review
