I was going to leave a thorough and detailed review. But our experience pretty much mirrored the review dated 10/21/19. There were only marginal differences. We arrived around 8:15am for an 8:30am appt. We did not wait to be called. We walked to the front and they allowed us to enter a little early. We also did not wait as long after actually entering the embassy onward to speaking with the person who verified all of our documents. That took maybe 15 minutes. The longest part was to be called for the actual interview, which took about 40 minutes. We were finally called up and asked the basic questions that everyone else has posted. The interviewer asked to speak to both the beneficiary and the petitioner. She was very professional throughout. She looked through our photo album but did not do anything with it. She returned it right after thumbing through the photos. Finally, she told my fiancee that the visa was approved. We were at the embassy for approximately 2-2.5 hours.

I know how it feels to want to know how the interview/embassy process is, so I will be as thorough as possible in this review!
My fiancees interview was at 8:30 am on October 16th (a wednesday) and I had flown to Bogota to be with her for the interview.
We arrived at the embassy at about 8:10 am. Weather was mild and overcast, At the corner of where the embassy is and also across the street at the corner, there was a large group of people. Most everyone had folders or documents/passports in their hand and were dressed for the occasion so we knew we were in the right area. Then we had saw a woman with jacket that signified she worked for the embassy (it said something but I can not remember exactly). She was also holding a loud-speaker in which she periodically used to call out interview times. When your time was called, you got in line. (this is all done outside the actual embassy before you enter).
When they called the 8:30 am interviews,... read complete review

The process is pretty straightforward. When you arrive at the embassy gates, the applicant will need to show the sticker placed on their passport from the biometric appointment to gain access. Once in, you'll stop at a set of tables outside the security screening area where your documents are reviewed to ensure you've brought everything. We were asked specifically for the letter from my employer at this step, so it might make sense for you to bring this along with you as I did. Since we showed up about an hour early, we were asked to wait here until it was closer to our scheduled interview time.
After this step, we passed security and was told to deactivate our mobile devices upon entry and to wait at a set of chairs just beyond security. A quick note: everything takes place outdoors, including the final interview, so be sure to dress appropriately. I would also recommend bringing along some items to keep you busy such as some books or a deck of cards since you won't be ... read complete review
